CoD Warzone Best DPS Gun

Every loadout deserves one of these

Call of Duty: Warzone has enjoyed six epic seasons over the past year and a half, and countless updates. One thing players and developers alike seem unable to avoid is the emergence of OP weapons. They pop up all the time. As soon as one is nerfed,  another is soon discovered to take its place. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. Players discover this through friends, streamers, and of course, being killed numerous times. This continues until suddenly everyone seems to be using it, the game updates, and the cycle starts again. Today we’re going to have a look at the top five OP weapons in Warzone at the moment.

5.  AK-74u (SMG)

Zero Recoil Ak74u and Kar98k...WOW (Warzone)

Personally, I’m a huge fan of sub-machine guns. Their rate of fire, ADS time and general mobility make them kings of the close range. Combine this with the right attachments and the correct loadout perks and you could find yourself running around killing like a ninja (not sure if that really sounds like a ninja). Anyway, out of all the SMGs, the AK-74u has been a personal favourite of mine since Black Ops. With some modern Warzone additions, it can be transformed into a medium-range killing machine while also packing a punch like that of its AR counterpart but at close range.

Strengths:

  • Mobility
  • Accuracy
  • Bullet Velocity

4. FARA 83 (AR)

nice FARA 83 LONG DISTANCE CLASS for WARZONE

Ah, the assault rifles. Versatile beauties. You can do almost anything with them. Designed for short- and medium-range combat, ARs are by far the most popular class of weapon among CoD gamers online. In Warzone in particular these guns have seen the most changes. There was the FFAR, the Krig 6, and many more. The FARA itself received a slight nerf in season 4, but I specifically chose this AR for two reasons: many people (including myself) still use it, and I’m still constantly finding myself shot down by this beast. When I find myself being killed at long range (no headshot) by a FARA without even time to duck, it makes my list. Simple.

Strengths:

  • Versatility
  • Mobility
  • Damage

3. Stoner 63 (LMG)

This Warzone LMG is kinda OP

One of the finest LMGs in the game, the Stoner – with the right attachments – boasts incredible mobility, accuracy and DPS. Weight and fire rate are two vital factors which affect light machine guns’ general popularity in Warzone, but the Stoner somehow finds a way to break through this barrier. Damage and ammo capacity are the LMG class forté, and the Stoner knows that all too well. To be honest, I’m surprised it hasn’t been nerfed so far. Maybe it’s just because LMGs are not overly used. If you’re reading this with an open mind (or an open loadout slot), don’t overlook this gem!

Strengths:

  • Range
  • Rate of fire
  • Damage
  • Accuracy
  • Ammo capacity

2. Kar98k (marksman rifle)

Warzone Kar98k 200m headshot that looks like no scope silent aim

One of the most popular weapons in Verdansk (and for good reason). The beauty of this weapon is that it’s an old bolt-action rifle that can easily and effectively be used as a sniper with the addition of a scope. The fire rate this weapon provides makes it lethal, even if you miss your first shot. Of course, headshots are always a must with snipers but never a guarantee. The Kar provides that little bit of wiggle room for those of us without marksman badges.

Strengths:

  • Rate of fire
  • Versatility
  • Damage

1. ZRG 20mm (sniper)

ZRG Is Fun To Use In Warzone

It’s true that as a sniper, the ZRG’s DPS stat isn’t as much an important stat as with, say, assault rifles, but the ZRG has simply got to be on anyone’s list of OP guns. It’s just too good – so good, one might feel like they’re cheating with a bit of practice. I myself use it, although I wouldn’t put myself in that category. After acquiring the ZRG for use with your custom loadouts through either completion of a challenge or via blueprint, the description gives it away: “1-shot kill to the head, shoulders, torso and stomach.” Need I say more? Let’s hope the big guns don’t get wise to this and cause it to be changed (pun intended).

Strengths:

  • Damage
  • Bullet velocity
  • Range

So there you have it folks. My personal picks of OP guns in Warzone. I tried to keep a nice balance across weapon classes but if you wat to look into it a little further;
