What is a Wonderkid? For those of you who may not know what a wonderkid is, it’s a teenage player that has the potential that will rival the best players in the game. Simply put if I search for a player, and their overall is less than 65 and aged under 20, they could grow to be over 85 overall players. There are many in the game, but most of them don’t even hit 80 overall at their peaks. Why are they valued? The reason wonderkids are valued is simply because of their potential. They may start low and can cost barely anything but they will grow with time. On top of that, if you stay with them, they have a minimum of 7 years without starting to drop their overall ratings. Ranked from good to great: 15.) Matias Soule RW 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlU7hLgJj9Y Soule is a right winger who is available for EFL league teams and higher. He's great at a multitude of things, including attack positioning. In terms of growth, he moves slowly to start but is worth it overall because of his potential. In my expert opinion, he’s a great player who helps get goals when they’re needed. He's great at creating space and driving passes into openings. He’s also good with ball control and can be a good player for getting past tricky defenders. Strengths Passing - He's a great through-ball passer creating openings with short or long passes. Crossing - He can hit the Striker on the foot almost every time. Dribbling - His dribbling stats can reach the 90s when he’s at his peak. stats: Starting Pace - 76 Shooting - 66 Passing - 74 Dribbling - 79 Defending - 36 Physical - 50 Overall - 65 Potential - 85 + 14.) Joe Gelhardt ST/CAM 19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibR2z5QCVVc Joe Gelhardt is a gem in FIFA 22. Put him as your starter, and you won’t regret it. He has a high potential that is slow to hit, but if you get him in higher leagues, you won’t regret it. With a 71 starting overall, he can ballon up to over 85, worth having even if you’re looking to sell him eventually. In my expert opinion, Joe is one of the best high-tier strikers, and a two-striker lineup is the best way to use him. His best trait is when he’s on the attack, feed him the ball, and he’ll put it in the net. One of the best gets if you want to start in the Championship League or an equal league. Strengths Shooting - He’s good at one-touch shots and scoring from a distance. Weak Foot - His weak foot start is at 4 stars, which gets better with specialized training. Volleying - As I’ve said above about one touch, He's just as good at volleys. stats: Starting Pace - 75 Shooting - 71 Passing - 61 Dribbling - 75 Defending - 28 Physical - 70 Overall - 71 Potential - 85+ 13.) Luka Romero RW 16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py0oyeNV-Z4 Romero is one of the best playmaking right-wingers. He's 16 in FIFA 22, and his potential is high but slow-moving. However, the best thing about him is his ball skills that only get better with time. His stats are relatively low to start off his career. If you start him as a sub though, his progress will be stunted. He will only play for teams Championship League and above. However, if you loan him out, and he gets to start elsewhere, you can play him in rotation next season, or give an extra spot to him, and he’ll be able to slowly climb to his astonishing potential. Strengths Defending - He can press, and create turnovers in the mid-field or your attacking area. Passing - His overall stats for passing are low, but his crossing, long passes, and dribbling skills are already in the 70s at 16 years old to start the game. Two-Way Player - He can defend, score, and create opportunities for his strikers in the front area. He’s got great shot power and good starting long-shot ability. stats: Starting Pace - 77 Shooting - 61 Passing - 65 Dribbling - 74 Defending - 53 Physical - 55 Overall - 70 Potential - 85 + 12.) Luca Oyen LW 18 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/t__olJwg6Lo Luca is a great option at LW, as He's great at feeding the ball into the strikers. Not only that, but he can score from outside of the box. He’s also good everywhere on the pitch. He's a great option for the left-wing position. He's typically not fond of lower-tier leagues, so trying to get him early on might be difficult if you don’t start in Championship League-level teams or higher. He’s a slow-moving player, but worth sticking with. Loaning him out is the best way to get him to his full potential. Strengths His speed - He's quick to start, and gets to the mid-90s at his maximum potential. His shooting - With time, he can be a great threat from the left side of the pitch if the strikers are held up. Dribbling - His dribbling is great to start, but as you progress, he gets into the mid-80s within 2-3 seasons. stats: Starting Pace - 77 Shooting - 58 Passing - 64 Dribbling - 73 Defending - 39 Physical - 46 Overall - 67 Potential - 85 + 11.) Harvey Elliot CAM/RW/LW 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nT83AgX-9E Elliot is one of the best CAMs in the game. His potential is high, and he starts with great stats, at 73 overall. He’s available in almost any league. If you’re looking for a good quiet star in the beginning it’s Elliot for sure. He can be paid out of contract in the beginning for about $7 Million. He's a player that’s built to 80 + to start is in less than 2 seasons. He's a great player to start in the minors or even Championship League teams. He's great at a multitude of things but scoring goals from outside the box is what he’s best at. Strengths Quickness - He’s a striker who can shoot from anywhere, but he can burst past defenders in a hurry getting open with or without the ball. Dribbling - He's good at outmaneuvering the defenders, getting forward, and getting in an easy position to score. Attack Positioning - He's great at getting where he’s needed to either score the goal or assist with a goal. stats: Starting Pace - 79 Shooting - 62 Passing - 71 Dribbling - 78 Defending - 30 Physical - 41 Overall - 73 Potential - 85 + 10.) Fabio Silva ST 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg6inRC27oU Silva is one of the best strikers to get to start your career with if you need a striker. He typically won't join a team unless their Championship League or higher. He starts high and finishes at a great overall which will undoubtedly help your Premier League push. Silva is great at getting in the box. He will get most of the goals if you get corners. He’s a strong, quick, and physical striker. He can also dribble right past the defenders and shoot a quick goal into the net. Strengths Speed - He can out-pace his opponent. Shooting - Finishing and Shot Power are high to start with. Heading - He starts with a 62 heading accuracy and a 72 in jumping. He gets better with time and is a top physical striker. stats: Starting Pace - 73 Shooting - 70 Passing - 46 Dribbling - 72 Defending - 22 Physical - 63 Overall - 70 Potential - 83 + 9.) Christos Tzolis ST/LM/RM 19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h87dPZ68GX8 Tzolis is one of the best strikers in the game, you can get him in EFL League One or higher. He’s a great player even if you already have a striker. He’s versatile and can play the midfield if you need someone to fill in. Tzolis’ starting abilities are blazing, but what caps that off is within a few seasons, his overall is already at 80 +. If cheap players who are a great fit for a team aren’t enough, then I’ve got more. He’s a versatile player, he gets assists (check), goals (check), defense (check), and physicality (oh yeah). Strengths Versatile - He can play 3 or more positions with maximum potential still on lock. Speed - He's one of the speediest youngsters on this list with Acceleration 87 and Sprint Speed 86 to start at just 18 years old. Dribbling - Agility 82, Balance, 77, and Ball Control 71 to start. stats: Starting Pace - 86 Shooting - 69 Passing - 64 Dribbling - 76 Defending - 35 Physical - 64 Overall - 73 Potential - 85 + 8.) Octavian Popescu RW/LW/CM 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g94QgTwpXQk Popescu is a great player to build a striker around. He has awesome deliveries and can out-pace anyone on the left side. If you let him develop, he will become one of the greats. You can get Popescu whenever you want, he will sign with virtually any team to start. He’s a great player to pick up to start, and if he’s trained properly, he could reach 90 overall.. If you want some versatility he can play either wing or mid-field positions. Strengths Pacing - He starts with an overall pace of 82. He burns past defenders on the left or right side of the pitch. Dribbling - With 75 + overalls in Agility, Balance, Ball Control, and Dribbling, he starts with elite-level stats. Crossing - Starting with 64 overall, if you keep him as a wing, and cross a lot with him, it will be well over 80 in short order. stats: Starting Pace - 82 Shooting - 67 Passing - 68 Dribbling - 76 Defending - 27 Physical - 52 Overall - 72 Potential - 85 + 7.) Mohamed-Ali Cho ST 17 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZM4I17RLTA As the video states he’s a beast in the making. He’s a top-level striker. He has talent in many areas, and his shooting gets better the more you use him. He’s available at almost any level in the game and is relatively cheap to start. Muhamed-Ali Cho is one of the best starting strikers to go for. If you’re low on funds to start the career, he’s a great fit. He will be at over 78 overall after a few seasons. His skills are great even to start, and as he grows, so will his presence on the pitch. However, if you want to get the best out of him, use a two-striker formation. Strengths Potential - His potential is great, and reach most of his potential by season 3 or 4, but he’ll keep climbing until he’s 26. Pace - He’s quick and aggressive and can help press if you turn over the ball. Dribbling - Dribbling starts at 81, and his ball skills start at 3 stars. stats: Starting Pace - 83 Shooting - 68 Passing - 59 Dribbling - 76 Defending - 26 Physical - 52 Overall - 70 Potential - 85 + 6.) Kamaldeen Sulemana ST/LM 19 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj50VPMr1Ns Rightly named the fastest footballer, He's speedy already, and with time he’ll be a lot faster. He's already in the 90s in pace to start, and his shooting gets better over time. He's a huge threat to defenders with some open space. My expert opinion on getting Sulemana in career mode is just do it. If you can afford him and your league is high enough, yes, 100% do it. He’s pricey to start with, but well worth the investment, as his breakaway presence is ridiculous. Strengths Pace - 93 Overall to start, 99 overall Pace after 2 seasons. Dribbling - On top of being speedy, his dribbling and balance are in the 80s to start with. Finishing - He starts with a 72 finishing, and only gets better over time. stats: Starting Pace - 93 Shooting - 69 Passing - 66 Dribbling - 80 Defending - 28 Physical - 63 Overall - 75 Potential - 85+ 5.) 5. Pablo Gavi RW 16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HVsqVYDH0w Gavi is one of the best wingers in the game. Not only is he in the top five, but his potential is insane. He won’t sign with any team below the EFL League One level. However, He's insane to play as. My expert opinion is that it doesn’t matter if you move him into the box as a winger, or way outside, he’ll still embarrass the defenders. He’s expensive to buy, but his potential is worth it. There’s maybe only one winger better than him in the game, a wonderkid or legend. Strengths Dribbling - He embarrassed defenders with his dribbling and ball skills that only get better with time. Agility - He starts with a base agility of 86, and is great at creating space for the strikers to work in. Defending - He's a great two-way player, as he starts with a defending stat of 61 which increases to nearly 80 at his max potential. stats: Starting Pace - 75 Shooting - 60 Passing - 74 Dribbling - 82 Defending - 61 Physical - 67 Overall - 76 Potential - 90 + 4.) Karim Adeyemi ST 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny0T2JgZ1FM Adeyemi is a strong and physical presence in the box. He's the one you send corners to. On top of that, he's available at almost any league level. He's great in every area but defense, and will get better with time. In my expert opinion, I would say that he's a gem in the game, and will perform past your expectations. He's decently priced, and his wages are good early on. On top of that, he starts at 74 and within 2 seasons he goes to 80+ overall. Strengths Shooting - Every stat in the Shooting category is over 71 overall. Speed - He starts with a sprint speed of 92 and hits 99 within a few seasons. Heading - Pick him in a corner set-piece, you won’t regret it. With stats of jumping 88 and heading accuracy of 58, you’ll have a great chance to get a corner goal. stats: Starting Pace - 93 Shooting - 76 Passing - 66 Dribbling - 78 Defending - 24 Physical - 69 Overall - 74 Potential - 90+ 3.) Yeremy Pino RM/LM/ST 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhcjh3IydH8 Yeremy can play in the mid-field, as a striker, or a winger. He plays well in each position. His best position is in RM. He's one of the best strikers in the game, and is versatile, playing midfield and attacking positions alike. I think that Pino is one of the best gets, his release clause is $42.5 million to start and he will join your team wherever it is. Best striker to get in the beginning of the game, and is the most versatile player on this list. If you put him in your starting XI, you won’t regret it when you get to the Premier League in 3 seasons. Strengths Finishing - Put him in the box out pacing his opponent, one-on-one he’ll beat the goalie 85% of the time. Passing - His versatility comes in handy here, if he’s not scoring, he’s assisting with crosses or through balls. Dribbling - His composure is the only thing low to start otherwise he’d be higher in the Dribbling stat. stats: Starting Pace - 76 Shooting - 72 Passing - 72 Dribbling - 78 Defending 31 Physical - 50 Overall - 76 Potential - 90+ 2.) Ansu Fati LW 18 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FVfWH66Z1o Ansu Fati is hands down the best winger on this list, and arguably the best winger in the game. He's stacked in every category and grows fast. His ball skills and weak foot are 4 starts to start. Be prepared to open your virtual wallet. He’s not a cheap player, you’ll be spending over $20 million in the first season. If you wait till the 3rd season, you’ll be spending over $150 million on him. His only problem is that he isn’t available until the Championship League or higher. Strengths Pace - To start the whole stat category is at 88 Shooting - Attack Positioning and Finishing are 80 or more to start. Dribbling - Nothing less than 73 stat-wise in this category, He's the best in this area, and ridiculous to defend against, scoring or assisting. stats: Starting Pace - 88 Shooting - 77 Passing - 71 Dribbling - 82 Defending - 30 Physical - 53 Overall - 79 Potential -90+ 1.) Facundo Farias ST 18 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OnBbS4iS2ow Farias is a Goal-seeking scorer and has one of the fastest-rising overalls in FIFA 22. He can go from 74 - 84 within the first few seasons. His starting team is Colon, so you can get him at any time for a good price to start. Farias is a great striker, but the skills that set him apart are his speed, dribbling, and passing ability. He's strong to start, but as time goes on, if he starts for your team, he will get into the top 80s or even 90s depending on how you use him. He's capable of making big plays in tight games and can give you an assist should you need a goal. Strengths Shot Power - He starts with 79, and with precision from the controlling player, He's able to easily put the ball past the keeper. Acceleration - 91 starting stat, and can burn past a defender the second it’s sent ahead. Dribbling - He has an 81 overall starting stat. He's 73 or greater in every area except Composure. stats: Starting Pace - 86 Shooting - 72 Passing - 69 Dribbling - 81 Defending - 39 Physical - 70 Overall - 74 Potential - 90+
