Of course, in medieval times, fear and superstition were rife when it came to diseases, and often catalyzed the disastrous effects of plagues through strange and unhealthy treatments…

‘The Plague Doctor of Wippra,’ is a point-and-click adventure with impressive pixel art and astounding historical medical facts.

In ‘The Plague Doctor of Wippra,’ you play a medieval plague doctor in the small German town of ‘Wippra.’ The world reels in shock and terror at the effects of the plague, coming up with all sorts of superstitious and religious conspiracy theories as to the nature of the disease, its cause, and possible cures.

You, on the other hand, grasp common sense and try to understand the facts presented before you. You visit the sick and try to make them as comfortable as possible with various prescriptions that you are trying out. Occasionally, surgery is also required to try and help them survive.

With every patient that you treat, you must look for clues, battling to figure out what causes the plague and how you can treat it, or even prevent it. You will come across incredibly challenging medical puzzles, but solving them can mean saving millions of lives, so don’t give up!

The atmosphere is dark and moody. The story is gripping, and intense, with puzzles to solve and incredibly fascinating historical facts to discover.
