Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 Release Date to Be Announced

FFVIIR Part 2 Release Date TBA
Updated:
21 May 2020

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was released globally on April 10, 2020. It is a retelling of the story from the original game. However, this game does not tell the complete story, as it only covers the Midgar section of the game. This is confirmed to be the first part of a multi game project. With the first game out, here is what we know so far about the sequel.

The Scope and Story of Part 2

Part 2 will let us see more of the world of Gaia

As the first part of this remake takes place entirely in Midgar, we can expect the next part to start exploring the larger world of Final Fantasy VII. Since we don’t know how many parts are planned for this remake currently, it’s unclear how much of the story part 2 will cover. There is a good chance that we’ll get to see the rest of the main cast in this part (including Cid Highwind and Vincent Valentine), and we’ll get to see much more of the world of Gaia.

We’ll have to wait to see how the rest of this story unfolds

As of now, there is no word of an official release date for the second part of Final Fantasy VII. It has been confirmed by Director Tetsuya Nomura that the second part is already being worked on, however.

Now that the first part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake is released, we will hopefully get more information of the second part of this project, including the release date, as it goes further into development.
