15. 552 Commando (DPS: 552)

Isn’t it neat that the 552 Commando has 552 DPS? This unique assault rifle for IQ features a wide variety of attachments, heavy damage at 48, decent magazine capacity, and an easily controllable recoil. Its in-game recoil pattern graph shows a big recoil diamond, but upon testing the weapon many times, there’s not much difference to its recoil whether you use a flash hider or compensator on it. So, it only makes sense to go with the flash hider and enjoy the vertical recoil benefits along with the muzzle flash removal.

It also has the 1.5x scope available to it. The 1.5x scope is the best scope for IQ’s role, because IQ needs to penetrate the objective area and get close to Defender gadgets. Performing this role means there’s a big chance to suddenly encounter enemies at close range, and the 1.5x excels at close range. It will still provide the player with a wide field of view even when in aim-down-sights (ads) position, while still making the enemies appear bigger. Therefore, easier to hit.

What makes the 552 Commando awesome:

  • High damage
  • Very easy to control recoil
  • Fast reload speed
  • Decent magazine capacity

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 48
  • Fire rate – 690
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity - 30

14. C8-SFW (DPS: 558)

An assault rifle that packs heavy damage partnered with a fast rate of fire. This unique weapon for Buck is one of the best assault rifles in the game, because despite its strong vertical kick, the player can mitigate it with the wide variety of muzzle attachments available to it. The compensator will reduce its recoil in all directions, and the flash hider will greatly lessen its vertical recoil. I usually go with the flash hider.

But for players who have great recoil control of their own, they can opt with the extended barrel instead. That will allow them to enjoy the most damage with this amazing gun. It also has the perfect scope for Buck’s role. The 1.5x scope will allow buck to hit enemies accurately from any range, while also not being at a disadvantage at close range.

What makes the C8-FW awesome:

  • High rate of fire
  • Wide variety of muzzle attachments
  • Availability of the 1.5x scope
  • Fast reload speed

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 50
  • Fire rate – 837
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity - 30

13. R4-C (DPS: 559)

A great assault rifle, made only for Ash. If you will only look at its in-game recoil pattern graph, you might be intimidated, but it's one of those guns that in reality actually has a very manageable recoil. Its recoil is so manageable that you can hit enemies accurately with it even with an extended barrel, which is a great muzzle attachment for it in order to mitigate its range damage drop-off.

Its biggest weakness is the lack of scopes that can provide higher zoom levels. You can really understand the grief of Ash mains when she lost the Acog on her R4C. Despite that, it’s a great gun with very fast fire rate, heavy damage, and decent magazine capacity. It also has all the muzzle attachments available to it.

What makes the R4-C awesome:

  • Manageable recoil control
  • Wide variety of muzzle attachments
  • High rate of fire

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 39
  • Fire rate – 860
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 30

12. PMM (DPS: 559)

Available to Glaz, Fuze, Finka, Kapkan, Tachanka, and Osa. This handgun is one of the most popular handguns in the game. Probably why Ubisoft made it available to so many operators. This handgun has high damage at 61, low recoil even without a muzzle brake, and it reloads fast. Perfect for finishing off your enemies during close range encounters when your primary needs to reload.

Of course, every great gun has its drawbacks. And for the PMM, it’s its low magazine capacity. With only 8 bullets per magazine, the player should make sure that every shot counts. Luckily, with its low recoil, the probability of making most of your shots is high. And as mentioned above, it reloads quickly, so that kind of mitigates the low magazine capacity drawback.

What makes the PMM awesome:

  • Great recoil control
  • High damage
  • Fast reload
  • Good iron sights

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 61
  • Mobility – 45
  • Capacity – 8

11. Type-89 (DPS: 567)

Hibana’s unique assault rifle has a fast fire rate and heavy damage, and that’s why it’s on this list. What’s more is that this weapon has a wide variety of attachment options available to it, and its range damage penalty is mild compared to most guns. Its recoil is also very manageable, although its default huge bullet diamond can make it a bit rough, and that’s why I recommend using the compensator for this gun.

Its biggest weakness is its low magazine capacity, luckily, Hibana has great secondaries that she can switch to whenever her Type-89 needs to reload in the middle of a gun fight. The weapon itself is pretty long so the player should be careful when peeking around corners, because chances are, the enemy will see the weapon’s long frame first.

What makes the Type-89 awesome:

  • Easy to control vertical and horizontal recoil
  • High damage
  • Wide variety of attachments

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 40
  • Fire rate – 850
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 20

10. C75 Auto (DPS: 583)

Available to Vigil, Kali, and Thorn. It’s my favorite secondary weapon when playing said operators because the C75 auto is very effective at close range where you would need it the most, because it's in close range encounters where you would usually have to switch to your secondary quickly when your primary needs to reload.

This weapon features a very fast fire rate of 1,000, and despite that, has a very good recoil control. Its vertical and horizontal recoil can easily be managed despite its intimidating in-game recoil-pattern graph. Its weaknesses are its very limited attachment options and low bullet capacity, but as a gun that the player would mostly only use as an alternative weapon, those weaknesses don’t matter much.

What makes the C75 Auto awesome:

  • Manageable recoil
  • Very fast fire rate
  • High damage

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 35
  • Fire rate – 1000
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity - 26

9. Keratos .357 (DPS: 585)

Available to Wamai, Maestro, and Alibi. This handgun packs a whopping 78 damage, and is highly destructive. Great for making kill holes on unreinforced walls and wooden floors. Its range damage drop off is less than most guns, so it’s great for medium range shooting. Seriously, one taps with this handgun are so satisfying.

This handgun also has a very manageable recoil considering the high damage that it inflicts every single shot. Its biggest weaknesses are its low magazine capacity and slow recoil, so the player better pace his or her shots well with this gun.

What makes the Keratos .357 awesome:

  • High damage
  • Highly destructive
  • Manageable recoil

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 78
  • Mobility – 45
  • Capacity - 6

8. SMG-12 (DPS: 593)

Dokkaebi, Vigil, and Warden’s machine pistol. Like its cousin, the SMG-11 in the #1 entry, the SMG-12 features a very fast fire rate at 1,270, but the SMG-12's advantage over the SMG-11 is its high magazine capacity at 32. It also has an integral suppressor, so your shots won’t give your enemies a directional threat indicator. It also won’t have a muzzle flash, and of course, your gunshots would be silent.

Its biggest weakness is its very strong vertical weapon kick. It's even stronger than the SMG-11's recoil. Its recoil diamond is also quite big so it's prone to recoil from all directions. Although, a well-placed crosshair around the chest area of enemies would usually result in a headshot from this gun. It’s one of the most dangerous guns at close range.

What makes the SMG-12 awesome:

  • Very fast rate of fire
  • Good damage
  • High magazine capacity
  • Default suppressor

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 28
  • Fire rate – 1270
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 32

7. F2 (DPS: 604)

Twitch’s unique assault rifle provides high damage output with a very fast fire rate. It’s the favorite gun of most Twitch mains, and understandably so, because this gun can make quick work of enemies at close to medium range because of said qualities. It also features a wide variety of attachment options so the player can customize it according to his or her own playstyle.

Another great thing about it is the availability of the 1.5x scope, which Twitch can use for effective medium range strafing while avoiding being at a disadvantage at close range. Don’t believe the in-game description that this gun is good for long-range though, because its rough recoil makes it ineffective for long-range strafing.

What makes the F2 awesome:

  • Very fast rate of fire
  • Wide variety of attachments
  • Manageable recoil

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 37
  • Fire rate – 980
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 25

6. Bearing 9 (DPS: 605)

Hibana, Echo, and Thunderbird’s machine pistol. It’s one of my favorite secondary guns, because despite its very high fire rate, its vertical weapon kick can be very manageable by attaching a flash hider to it. It’s a lot more viable now since after Operation Demon Veil came out, players can now equip all 1x sights on the Bearing 9, which will allow for more precision shooting.

Its biggest weakness is its strong vertical weapon kick, but as I said above, it becomes very manageable with the use of a flash hider. So, its real weakness is its low magazine capacity, which can be depleted really fast because of its very fast fire rate. With that said, this machine pistol is very hard to beat at close range encounters.

What makes the Bearing 9 awesome:

  • Very fast rate of fire
  • Manageable recoil
  • Low horizontal recoil

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 33
  • Fire rate – 1100
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 25

5. C7E (DPS: 613)

This assault rifle that is only available to Jackal is one of the best guns in the list, because it doesn’t only have high DPS, it also has a lot of attachment options available to it, high damage, decent magazine capacity, and low recoil. Not to mention that it has a great weapon skin from Ghost Recon Wildlands. Jackal is really lucky to have this gun.

It’s one of the most balanced guns in the list, so it doesn’t really have many weaknesses. Its biggest weakness, one could argue, is its magazine capacity which is 25, but compared to the other guns in the list, that’s actually very decent. It’s honestly hard to choose between this gun and the PDW9 when I’m playing Jackal.

What makes the C7E awesome:

  • Very manageable recoil
  • High damage
  • Wide variety of attachments

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 42
  • Fire rate – 800
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity - 25

4. AK-12 (DPS: 623)

Fuze and Ace’s assault rifle. It’s great for close to medium range and has a high stopping power. It’s high up on this list because of its high damage output and fast rate of fire. Another strength of the AK-12 is its wide variety of attachments. That means it’s very customizable according to the player’s own game style. It has most of the zoom levels, barrel attachments, and grips.

Its biggest weakness is its rough horizontal recoil that comes from its wide recoil diamond. That is why I generally recommend the compensator as its muzzle attachment. With its pretty low vertical weapon kick, and reduced horizontal recoil from the compensator, the AK-12 becomes a more stable gun and great for taking down enemies at close to medium range.

What makes the AK-12 awesome:

  • High damage
  • Fast rate of fire
  • Good magazine capacity
  • Wide variety of attachments

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 45
  • Fire rate – 850
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 30

3. D-50 (DPS: 651)

Available for Blackbeard, Valkyrie, Nokk, and Azami. Many Nokk mains actually use this as their primary instead of her submachine gun or shotgun. And it’s very understandable. Though intended as a secondary, this Desert Eagle provides heavy stopping power and penetration along with a very controllable recoil.

Its weakness is its low bullet capacity, which can become a real problem when you’re using it as a primary and you aren't able to take your opponent down quickly. But those are the times when you, as the Nokk player, can switch to her SMG or shotgun and treat them like secondaries.

What makes the D-50 awesome:

High damage

  • Highly destructive
  • High penetration
  • Manageable recoil

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 71
  • Mobility – 45
  • Capacity – 7

2. LFP586 (DPS: 715)

Another secondary gun that is high up on the list. The LFP586 mostly gets its high DPS rating from its very high damage of 78. This handgun that has great penetration power and high stopping power is available to Twitch, Montagne, Lion, Doc, Rook, and Kaid. It’s also highly destructive, so it’s great for creating murder holes on soft walls and wooden floors.

Its weakness is its high vertical weapon kick, slow reload time, lack of barrel attachments, and low ammo capacity. So, it’s really best used as a secondary gun for when your primary needs to reload in the middle of a gun fight, or for one-tapping enemies at long range.

What makes the LFP586 awesome:

  • High damage
  • Highly destructive
  • High penetration

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 78
  • Mobility – 45
  • Capacity – 6

1. SMG-11 (DPS: 741)

Available to Smoke, Mute, and Amaru. This is one of the most popular secondaries in the game because it can make quick work of enemies with its high damage output coming from its very fast fire rate. That’s basically the main reason why the SMG-11 is number one in the list. Having a very decent 35 damage and 1,270 rate of fire gives the operators carrying it a huge advantage in close range encounters.

Its biggest weaknesses are its high vertical weapon kick along with its low magazine capacity, but that really doesn’t matter much because this weapon is mainly used as a secondary anyway. Players switch to it when their primaries need to reload in the middle of a gunfight.

What makes the SMG-11 awesome:

  • Very fast fire rate
  • Low horizontal recoil
  • High damage

Weapon stats:

  • Damage – 35
  • Fire rate – 1270
  • Mobility – 50
  • Capacity – 16
