SWTOR Best Lightsabers

A lightsaber is of course, the most valuable possession of a Sith and Jedi, and is perhaps the Star Wars franchise’s most iconic item to ever exist. Fear not, Star Wars: The Old Republic plays host to a huge range of lightsaber styles, and is sure to have something that will suit your needs as you fight your way through the galaxy. Below are the current top fifteen sabers in the game:

15. Stronghold Defender’s Lightsaber

A rather simple lightsaber, the Stronghold Defender is an elegant weapon, whose most showy effect only happens when you first turn on your sabers. If you’re looking for something rare, this saber is for you.

  • Interesting effect upon ignition: the hilt of the lightsaber splits into two parts to ignite the blade before sliding back down into a single piece
  • This lightsaber is a rather rare find, as it’s only available from a Reputation vendor found on Fleet, and costs Cartel Certificates. If you’re lucky enough to get this saber to drop from a Cartel Pack, use it!
  • Comes in a single-bladed variety and a double-bladed variety

14. Gray Helix Lightsaber

One of the more unique looking lightsabers in the game, the Gray Helix Lightsaber is a favorite during this time of “legacy gear” in SWTOR.

  • This lightsaber has an interesting effect inherent to its design along the blade, technological blips akin to the Gree style that flicker when drawn
  • Able to be purchased for use in your legacy from the Gree Reputation Vendor for Gray Helix components (non-Cartel Market item!)
  • The hilt of this saber flashes blue!
  • Comes as either a single-blade saber or a double-bladed variant

13. Tythonian Force Master’s Lightsaber

This lightsaber screams “Jedi”, and is the perfect addition to any aspiring Knight’s wardrobe.

12. Ziost Guardian’s Lightsaber

If the Tythonian saber is a stylized Jedi blade, then the Ziost Guardian is the Sith’s.

11. Twisted Fang Lightsaber

The Twisted Fang Lightsaber is another style of saber that is more simple in terms of hilt design, with some flair added on the blade itself. Not too showy, but not drab, either.

10. Senya Tirall’s Lightsaber

One of the few lightsaber pikes available in SWTOR, this lightsaber is truly unique and is sure to complete any Zakuulan style you’re hoping to achieve.

  • Unique to Senya’s own aesthetic, this blade also comes with a satisfying ignition sound
  • Gold accents along the hilt, which is longer than most other lightsaber hilts to account for the pike style
  • Comes as a single-bladed or double-bladed variety -- the double-bladed variant possesses only one blade but can be wielded by Assassins and Shadows

9. Volatile Conqueror’s Lightsaber

This is one of the older models available in SWTOR in the earlier days of the Cartel Market. By no means does this mean it isn’t an amazing saber in it’s own right.

  • The blade of this saber has pulsating beads of light than run up along the length when it is unsheathed, creating a unique and interesting effect found on no other saber in the game
  • Comes in both a single-bladed variant and a double-bladed variant

8. Unstable Arbiter’s Lightsaber

The Arbiter was one of the first platinum quality items to be released in SWTOR, and came out around the time of The Force Awakens, inspired by Kylo Ren’s unstable saber.

7. Tythian Lightsaber

Forged in Tyth’s rage, this saber is styled to look like his very own blade from the Operation, just scaled down for smaller hands!

  • Another pike saber, this item has a rare chance to drop off of Tyth from the Gods From the Machine operation
  • Has a fiery effect at the base of the blade that sparks
  • The hilt of this saber looks as if it was made of scrapped metal pieced together
  • Available as a single-blade or double-bladed lightsaber

6. Tau Idair’s Lightsaber

If you’ve ever looked at Tau Idair’s lightsaber and wish for one of your own, you’re in luck!

5. Dark Honor Guard’s Lightsaber

Perfect for any protector of the Empire!

4. Darth Malgus’ Lightsaber

Now you can complete a Darth Malgus cosplay with this lightsaber in tow.

  • Darth Malgus’ iconic sabers, now your’s!
  • Comes in a damaged and undamaged variant – the damaged variant sparks when ignited and has a sort of “melted” look about it
  • Small, subtle lightning effects along the length of the blade

3. Defiant Vented Lightsaber

This platinum saber was released around the time of The Last Jedi, and was another homage to Kylo Ren’s blade.

  • Though it lacks the unstable effect of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber, this is perhaps the closest thing you can acquire to his iconic weapon – if you throw a Lightning Tuning into the mix, it becomes even closer!
  • Comes in a single-bladed and double-bladed variant
  • Simple, silver hilt

2. Tulak Hord’s Lightsaber

Here’s another saber that can complete the look of a well-known Sith!

1. Executioner’s Maw Lightsaber

This is one of the newer lightsaber releases in SWTOR, and though it’s only available in a single-blade variant, it is by far one of the most imposing looking designs yet.
