[Top 10] SWTOR Best Assault Cannons That Look Awesome

SWTOR Best Assault Cannons

As a more unique weapon, the autocannon in Star Wars: The Old Republic remains the Trooper Commando’s main claim to fame. Since the Commando itself is the only advanced class able to use the autocannon, it comes as no surprise that cosmetic choices concerning their main hand have a much smaller pool (as compared to say, lightsabers). This doesn’t mean there aren’t some wonderful looking cannons out there to complete your look.

10. K-13 FS Heavy Cannon

One of the few platinum quality Cartel Market cannons available, this stubbier looking weapon is a show-stopper.

9. Hyperstorm Heavy Cannon

This simple cannon doesn’t have too much going on, which is where it shines – literally.

8. Furious Gladiator’s Assault Cannon

A fairly new cannon that only recently came to the Cartel Market, this design moves away from the traditional “trooper” aesthetic most cannons seem to adhere to within SWTOR.

  • This cannon has an axe-like blade that slides up the length of the barrel when drawn and burns like an ember. Additionally, this weapon will have billows of smoke that peel off from the end of the barrel and the blade
  • As a thinner cannon, this weapon isn’t as in-your-face as some of the other cannons available

7. Stronghold Defender’s Assault Cannon

One of SWTOR’s earlier designs, this cannon remains to this day a fan-favorite.

  • Like the Stronghold Defender’s Lightsaber, this weapon will separate when it is pulled out, and will then come back together while also igniting a small beam of electricity near the top of the cannon
  • This cannon comes with satisfying unholstering sounds as well as solid firing sounds

6. Kyber Assault Cannon

Vaguely reminiscent of the Death Star’s superlaser, this cannon is more compact than most, with interest to boot.

5. Plundered TC-16 Spewie

As seen wielded by community-beloved Vette in Chapter 13 of Knights of the Fallen Empire, this cannon is now considered a classic.

  • This assault cannon peels open at the end to reveal the business end of the weapon when unholstered. Upon stowing it safely to your back, the end will once more close!
  • The three lasers around the end also change color with your crystal

4. Unshielded Assault Cannon

Inspired by Arn Peralun’s unshielded saber, this cannon has a very steampunk vibe to it.

  • This cannon has a very unique start-up sound when it is brought out before the character. It continues to hum until stowed away once more
  • In addition to its start-up sound, this weapon also has a firing noise that is unlike any other cannon in the game, akin to heavy artillery fire
  • This weapon features a rotating barrel that can be seen through the outer portions of the casing, and has a sort of fiery animation at the end of the gun every time it fires off a shot

3. Nahut’s Heavy Cannon

Modelled after the machine god Nahut’s back-mounted cannon, this cannon is simple yet cool.

  • This cannon gains a shielded look when in use, paying homage to Nahut’s unique mechanics in the Gods from the Machine operation. The shield pulses and refreshes occasionally
  • The end of the barrel also slides out of the main compartment when it is unholstered
  • This cannon doesn’t have an idle sound like some others, which can be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re looking for

2. Imperial E-1 Enforcer Assault Cannon

This cannon is sleek and black and part of the E-1 series of weapons.

  • This nifty cannon isn’t overly large, and looks better with characters with smaller physical builds
  • The secondary paint job on the side of the E-1 Enforcer changes according to the color crystal you have equipped, and is one of the only weapons in the game to do something like this!
  • A folding animation occurs when first whipping out the cannon, and again when stowing it safely on your back

1. Gray Helix Autocannon

The Gray Helix Autocannon is by far the most interesting looking cannon available, as well as being perhaps the most useful in terms of the legacy-focused era that we are currently in with SWTOR.

  • This weapon is a reputation item able to be purchased during the Gree event for Gray Helix components. All that is required is a Champion standing with the Gree
  • Since it’s a reputation weapon, this automatically means that the Gray Helix Autocannon is legacy-bound, meaning you can transfer it between all characters of your legacy with ease
  • A rotating light-show of Gree aesthetic surrounds this cannon, making it visually appealing
