With big developers seeing VR as a worthy investment, games just keep getting better. These 10 games are driven by their incredibly immersive stories. What’s more immersive than a story that you can reach out and touch? 

10. Blood & Truth

In this PSVR exclusive, you play as Ryan. He’s ex-military, and his family owns an international business that is just as shady as you’d expect. When you’re called home to deal with a family emergency, it’s up to you to defend your family’s business from your rivals. The game wants you to feel like the main character in your own action movie, and it accomplishes that.

9. Fallout 4 VR

Fallout 4 has you waking up in the life of the typical 1940s-esque nuclear family; only to have a nuclear bomb set off minutes later. You’ll explore the post-apocalyptic open-world in search of your answers about what happened to your family. As this is an RPG, you choose how your character plays out the story.

8. Skyrim VR

The world of Skyrim is very well known for its story, but playing it in VR makes it that much more immersive. You start as a prisoner captured for crossing the Cyrodiil border and get lucky when a dragon turns up at your execution. You’re thrown into a civil war and discover you are what is known as the Dragonborn, and the fate of the world is in your hands. This game is packed with tons of story even outside of the main quests.

5. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice 

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice throws you into a terrifying world that makes you feel as if you’re going insane. On a quest to save the soul of your dead lover, you’ll face foes that will make you start to question your sanity. This game will have you terrified to turn your head to see what’s behind you.

4. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

Saints & Sinners throws you into your own adventure in The Walking Dead universe. The game drops you into a flooded New Orleans, and obviously, zombies will be one of your main concerns. However, you’ll have to worry just as much about the factions of living enemies and decide what kind of person your character is. The incredibly fast-paced world will keep you on your toes and have you feeling like you’re truly living through a zombie apocalypse.

3. Boneworks

In Boneworks, you play as Arthur Ford. You work for the futuristic company Monogon as their head of security. You explore the digital city your company has created, MythOS City. This world uses something called ‘void energy’, which you will use to complete the missions that will arise in this city. The physics in this game will make the world feel incredibly real.

2. Asgard’s Wrath

The story in Asgard’s Wrath is centered around Norse Mythology. You begin the game as a brand new god being given your powers by Loki. You are the God of Animals, and you will take on the form of 5 different mortals to lead them to their destinies. Each human you follow will be unique and you can use many powers to your advantage.

1.Half-Life: Alyx

Half-Life is known for its unique world and story, so being able to experience it in VR is a great experience for fans and newcomers alike.
