Janna, an old and mysterious wind spirit, has come to protect the people of Zaun, who have been kicked out of their homes. Most of the time, her presence is felt as a gentle breeze or a fierce storm, but she can also take the form of an ethereal figure and comfort the sad.

Janna has seen many civilizations rise and fall over the years. She stays strong through it all, giving hope to those who need it.

This is a full article about how to best place Janna in TFT to make sure you protect your whole team and predict the weather.

The tempest is at your command.

Ancient people prayed to the winds. Mortals have hoped for change in Runeterra's storms and gales, from sailors seeking fair weather to the destitute.

The wind sometimes answered. A vivid blue bird may appear before a strong tailwind blows the sails. Others reported hearing a whistling sound prior to a storm. These omens increased the birds' sightings. Some said the bird turned into a lady. This enigmatic girl was thought to float above the river and guide the wind with her staff.

The faithful dubbed this wind spirit Jan'ahrem, an old Shuriman term meaning "protector," since she constantly appeared in times of need. She eventually became Janna.

Her followers were the seafaring Oshra Va'Zaun people. Their commerce ships needed calm waters. Janna's kindness inspired statues and shrines. These devotional displays persisted for a while after the Shuriman kingdom engulfed the city.

Janna's sculptures were destroyed by the emperor's "false idol" ban. Despite the burgeoning adoration of the ascended god-warriors, many still quietly prayed to Janna, because how could they safeguard ships from storms? In honour of Janna, these mortals wore bluebird amulets.

Janna helped those in need despite this. She stayed steady in a turbulent area. "Winds of Change" being the lone thing that did not may seem ironic to history buffs.

As the powerful empire fell apart, Janna kept the city, which is now called Zaun, safe from violence and chaos.

Janna saw Zaun's aspirations grow. Despite the city's strong commerce port, its resident’s desired more. They wanted to dig a canal through their isthmus to connect Valoran and Shurima's oceans. The city spent time, money, and effort building it. Janna's prayers faded as mortal dreams concentrated on mortal schemes.

The canal excavation rendered much of Zaun unstable. One day, huge areas of the River Pilt sank below the western sea level, leaving hundreds battling for their lives against the conflicting currents.

They pleaded for salvation before their demise. They invoked their ancestor, Janna.

Janna helped them despite their seeming forgetfulness. She materialised in a massive gale. People escaped their submerged houses via impossible air barriers. Winds ripped through the choking smoke from the flames created by the wreckage. Janna rescued many, but countless died that day—yet those who lived saw her kindness. The city will never forget its rescuer.

Through Piltover's rise and contemporary Zaun's problems, Janna's followers wear bluebird medallions and honour the winds. Janna always supports the downtrodden. Zaunites know that Janna will stand by them whether they battle for breath in the Zaun Gray, fight aggressive chem-barons, or face other challenges.
