10. LMG-E

https://youtu.be/Yhzcv3v7-hA?si=vbPiUhCLqNBDtRca&t=18

Zofia’s LMG-E used to be the best primary weapon for her because of its high damage, low recoil, and huge magazine capacity. However, that changed a lot since the relatively recent recoil progression overhaul that made it much more difficult to hold the recoil of weapons as the shots progressed. This meant that the game now favors short sprays over long ones. That recoil progression overhaul was aimed to nerf the light machine gun meta that was going on for years in Siege, where LMG users just basically overwhelm enemies with its low recoil and high magazine capacity.

Nowadays, the LMG-E is almost unusable when it comes to continuous suppressive fire as its recoil would be very rough. That doesn’t mean, however, that it’s not a viable weapon for Zofia anymore, because its high damage and high magazine capacity is still very useful for attacking. That means, however, that the user will have to stick more to using short sprays, and when it comes to short sprays, the muzzle brake is the best barrel attachment. That’s because it greatly lowers the first shot recoil of weapons, and that tends to stabilize the subsequent few shots.

What Makes the LMG-E Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • The LMG-E is one of the weapons that were greatly affected by the recoil progression overhaul, but the muzzle brake makes it a viable weapon again as it will really lower its short spray recoil
  • Zofia’s LMG-E has a strong first shot recoil, and the muzzle brake specializes in lowering the first shot recoil of weapons, and that generally stabilizes their subsequent few shots
  • With the muzzle brake greatly lowering the recoil of the LMG-E's first shot recoil, the weapon’s stability for short sprays will greatly improve and the user will be able to hit enemies with good accuracy
  • The LMG-E is compatible to the vertical grip which is a great partner to the muzzle brake as the former will greatly lower the overall vertical recoil of the weapon while the latter will greatly lower its first shot recoil

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 41
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 720 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 150 + 1

9. POF-9

https://youtu.be/_XcGJYqEi6E?si=SdOQL_8Uz301QhzR&t=47

The POF-9 is the newest weapon in Siege and is unique to operator Sens. The damage it inflicts per shot, as well as its rate of fire is very decent. The main strength of the weapon comes from its huge magazine capacity, which is really sizable for an assault rifle. Another great thing about the POF-9 is that it’s compatible to sights that provide high levels of zoom like that scope 1.5x, 2.0x, and 2.5x. Not only that, but the weapon is also compatible to all kinds of barrel attachment as well as grips that will provide different kinds of benefits to the user.

Its main drawback, however, is that its recoil can be quite rough. And that’s because its first shot recoil is high, and right after the first shot, its recoil tends to go horizontally. Since its horizontal recoil is quite high, a lot of players might think that the best barrel attachment for it would be the compensator. However, the muzzle brake is actually a really great barrel attachment for it when it comes to recoil control, because the muzzle brake will greatly lower the first shot recoil, and with that, the few subsequent shots’ recoil will also be lowered.

What Makes the POF-9 Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • Sens’ POF-9 assault rifle has a strong first shot recoil, and since the muzzle brake specializes in lowering single-shot weapons’ recoil, it’s also great for lowering a fully automatic weapon’s first shot weapon kick
  • With the first shot recoil of the POF-9 greatly lowered because of the muzzle brake on its barrel, its few subsequent shots’ recoil will feel more stable, resulting in a good short spray recoil
  • The POF-9 is compatible to both the angled grip and the vertical grip and both of them are great partners to the muzzle brake, one provides additional recoil control while the other provides better aim-down-sight speed
  • The POF-9 assault rifle is compatible to a wide variety of attachments, making it highly customizable, and not just the grips, but also the scopes available to it, are great partners to the muzzle brake

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 35
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 740 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 50 + 1

8. AK-12

https://youtu.be/zl4yIwxI-Ww?si=n_MNRq0tD47xngvX&t=366

The AK-12 is quite famous for its rough recoil, so Ace and Fuze players always want to equip it with attachments that would provide it with the best recoil control possible, and it’s one of the weapons that will benefit greatly from a muzzle brake on its barrel. That’s because the AK-12 has a high first shot recoil, and the muzzle brake will greatly lower that. The lowering of the first shot recoil will make it easier for the user to control the subsequent shots from the weapon, and that generally results in a more stable short burst firing.

And short burst firing is just perfect for Ace and Fuze’s gameplay since they’re usually the flex of the team. At close to medium range, short sprays are also what the user will really need for finishing off enemies, as the AK-12 inflicts heavy damage per shot and has a fast rate of fire. So even though it’s a fully automatic weapon, the AK-12 will benefit greatly from being attached with a muzzle brake on its barrel and is definitely a great partner to the vertical grip, which will lower the overall vertical recoil of the weapon.

What Makes the AK-12 Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • Ace and Fuze’s AK-12 assault rifle has a high first shot weapon kick, and the muzzle brake will greatly lower that, resulting to the subsequent shots being more stable
  • The muzzle brake lowering the AK-12’s first shot recoil will make the recoil of short sprays with it very stable, and that’s great since the game now favors short bursts anyway
  • The muzzle brake is a great partner to the vertical grip as the latter will greatly lower the weapon’s overall recoil while the muzzle brake stabilizes the recoil of its first few shots
  • The short spray recoil benefits from the muzzle brake are perfect for Ace and Fuze’s gameplay since short burst firing is great for close to medium range which are the range they usually engages enemies in

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 40
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 850 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 30 + 1

7. R4-C

https://youtu.be/HNo46CReRFE?si=Pg04iAR8hNpT8vTs&t=96

The R4-C is Ash’s unique weapon, and though it has been nerfed with the removal of its compatibility with high-powered scopes, it’s still a very dead weapon for Ash, and is still the primary weapon of choice for many Ash players. That’s because the damage it inflicts per shot is incredible and its rate of fire is very high for one that inflicts high damage. So with the R4-C, Ash really becomes a menace at close to medium range, which is usually the distance where she engages her enemies in as her role is the team’s entry fragger.

The only problem with the R4-C, aside from the aforementioned lack of high-powered scopes, is that its recoil can be quite rough. That rough recoil stems from its high first shot recoil which the muzzle brake will fix. With its first shot recoil greatly lowered through the use of the muzzle brake barrel attachment, its subsequent shots will also be stabilized, so at least for short burst firing, which the R4-C specializes in anyway due to its high rate of fire, its weapon kick will feel very stable to the user. Because of this, Ash players will be able to line up their shots well, even when dealing with multiple opponents at once.

What Makes the R4-C Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • Ash’s R4-C assault rifle’s first shot recoil is quite high, and with the muzzle brake greatly lowering its first shot recoil, the subsequent shots will feel much more stable
  • Since the R4-C assault rifle has a very fast rate of fire and average magazine capacity, it specializes in short burst firing, and when it comes to short sprays, the recoil benefits from the muzzle brake is the best
  • With the R4-C's short spray recoil greatly stabilized due to the muzzle grip, Ash will be able to perform her role as the entry fragger more effectively as it’ll allow her to line her shots much better
  • Since the R4-C is not compatible to any high-powered scopes anymore, Ash is more effective with it when it comes to close to medium range firing, and that’s also the range that is best for weapons with muzzle brake on their barrel

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 39
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 860 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 30 + 1

6. M762

https://youtu.be/-YNJXzSyKMk?si=je2nwWut3vq-dTkD&t=192

The M762 assault rifle is another weapon that is from Zofia in this entry, and although its recoil has been improved in recent years, it still tends to be rough, especially to newer players. If you look at its recoil pattern image in the game, you’d immediately see why its recoil can be quite rough. That’s because its first shot recoil is very high. And since the muzzle brake greatly lowers the recoil of single-shot weapons, that recoil benefit also works well with lowering the first shot recoil of weapons, even if the weapon is fully automatic, and such is the case for Zofia’s M762.

If the Zofia player is looking to have the best recoil control on the weapon, then the best barrel attachment they could use is the muzzle brake. With its first shot recoil greatly lowered, the following shots from the M762 will feel much more stable. This way, players, especially new ones, won’t be surprised with the initial kick of the weapon when they fire it. This is great also because the M762’s rate of fire is quite high despite it being a high-powered weapon, and that quick rate of fire and the muzzle brake lowering the weapon’s first shot recoil will make it a menace when it comes to short burst firing.

What Makes the M762 Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • If one looks at the in-game recoil pattern image of the M762, they’d immediately notice how high the first shot recoil is, but with the muzzle brake barrel attachment, that first shot recoil will be greatly lowered
  • With the initial weapon kick lowered, the following recoil from the subsequent shots will feel much more stable, and this will usually result into a more stable short burst firing
  • The M762’s rough recoil as well as its high rate of fire makes it a great weapon for short spray firing, and for short sprays, the muzzle brake will provide the user with the best recoil control
  • The short spray recoil benefits from the muzzle brake are also great for Zofia’s usual gameplay as she usually engages opponents in short to medium range where short sprays are great

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 45
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 730 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 30 + 1

5. Vector .45 ACP

https://youtu.be/7uKjxyBNgCA?si=wbCHbDIptxvtyIFv&t=21

Speaking of short sprays, no other primary weapon in the game is fired in a short burst like the Vector .45 ACP. That’s because even if the user wants to fire it with longer sprays, the weapon’s super fast rate of fire will make it feel like they’re still performing a short spray. Besides, also because of its super fast rate of fire, the Vector .45 ACP’s weapon kick is very strong and can make the user feel like he’s holding on to their dear life when firing it. And that’s why it’s best to fire this weapon in short bursts. Especially when you’re playing Mira who will usually shoot enemies right after quick leaning from her Black Mirror special gadget.

The magazine size of the Vector .45 ACP is also on the smaller side of things, which really almost forces the user to stick to short burst firing. And, as mentioned many times in the previous entries, the muzzle brake is the best barrel attachment when it comes to short spray recoil. That’s because it will greatly lower the first shot recoil of weapons, and because of that, the shots that follow it will also feel much more stable. That’s because the user isn’t thrown away by the weapon’s initial kick, and they’d be able to handle the following shots’ recoil better.

What Makes the Vector .45 ACP Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • Because the muzzle brake greatly lowers the weapon’s first shot recoil, the subsequent shots will also be stabilized and that’s great for short burst firing, which is what the user would usually perform with the Vector .45 ACP
  • Because the Vector .45 CP has a very high rate of fire and quite a small magazine size, the user will always fire it in short bursts, which is perfect for the muzzle brake barrel attachment
  • The Vector .45 ACP is also compatible to the vertical grip which is always a great partner to the muzzle brake as the former will lower the overall vertical recoil of the weapon while the latter will greatly stabilize its initial weapon kick
  • The muzzle brake is perfect for Mira as short burst firing is really what she’ll usually do after quick leaning from her Black Mirror, and stabilizing the weapon’s short spray recoil is the specialty of the muzzle brake

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 23
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 1200 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 25 + 1

4. C8-SFW

https://youtu.be/kN3HrJOckMs?si=T85fZUNllqLErwrT&t=89

The C8-SFW assault rifle is a unique weapon for Buck, and is basically the weapon of choice for Buck players who prefer to have a fully-automatic weapon rather than his designated marksman rifle, which of course, fires single-shots. With Buck’s designated marksman rifle, the CAMRS, the muzzle brake is an easy choice. As the in-game description says, the muzzle brake greatly lowers the recoil of single-shot firing weapons. However, what the in-game description doesn’t say is that the muzzle brake also works well in lowering the recoil of fully automatic weapons like the C8-SFW.

That’s because the muzzle brake will greatly lower the C8-SFW's first shot recoil, and while it will only affect the first shot of weapons, it does a lot when it comes to stabilizing the subsequent shots, thus resulting in a more stable firing experience, especially for short sprays. That’s because the user will not be shocked by the initial kick of the weapon, and speaking of that initial kick, the C8-SFW has a pretty strong first shot recoil, which makes it really a prime candidate for a muzzle brake barrel attachment. With the muzzle brake, Buck will excel in short burst firing, which is what he’d usually perform anyway when attacking vertically.

What Makes the C8-SFW Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • The C8-SFW's first shot recoil is quite high, and with the muzzle brake lowering that first shot recoil, the shots that will follow will be easier to control for the user
  • With the muzzle brake on the C8-SFW's barrel, the weapon will have great recoil control when it comes to short sprays, which is what Buck will mostly do when attacking vertically
  • When Buck destroys portions of the wooden floor on or above objective spots, he’d still have to shoot enemies through the metal beams on the floor, and that’s why he’d generally have to stick with short burst firing
  • The C8-SFW has a pretty fast rate of fire and average magazine capacity, which makes it a great gun for short burst firing, and when it comes to that, the muzzle brake provides the best recoil control

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 40
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 837 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 30 + 1

3. 6P41

https://youtu.be/-Q9foMgM6QU?si=hJz4wxPXDkOceihB&t=19

The 6P41 LMG, unique to Fuze and Finka, used to be the most oppressive weapon in Siege. That’s because it inflicts massive damage per shot, is compatible with high powered scopes, has a huge magazine capacity, and most of all, its recoil was so easy to control. That was before the relatively recent recoil progression overhaul though. Nowadays, it’s actually pretty rare to see Fuze or Finka players using the 6P41, and that’s because its recoil is now very hard to control. But like in the case of Zofia’s LMG-E, that doesn’t really mean that the 6P41 LMG is not a viable weapon anymore.

That’s because with the right set of attachments, the 6P41 LMG can still be great at fragging opponents. One of those attachments is the muzzle brake which will greatly lower the initial weapon kick of the 6P41 LMG. With the initial weapon kick of the 6P41 LMG greatly lowered, the few shots that follow will also be stabilized. That means that the user will be able to use the 6P41 LMG with good accuracy and stability at least for short bursts, and that’s actually great for guns with massive magazine capacity, as they can keep firing short bursts without having to reload a lot.

What Makes the 6P41 Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • The 6P41 LMG’s initial weapon kick is very strong, but with the muzzle brake greatly weakening it, its subsequent shots will also be stabilized, resulting in a more controllable short burst firing
  • With the muzzle brake greatly stabilizing the 6P41 LMG’s short sprays, the user can keep firing it in short bursts as a way to apply suppressive fire, with the help of course of the weapon’s huge magazine capacity
  • The 6P41 LMG is also compatible with the vertical grip which is a great partner to the muzzle brake as it will lower the overall vertical kick of the weapon while the latter stabilizes its first shots’ recoil
  • Applying suppressive fire through short bursts is great for Fuze as a vertical attacker as that’s what he would mostly perform since he’d have to shoot opponents through the metal beams on or above the objective spot

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 46
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 680 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 100 + 1

2. AK-74M

https://youtu.be/57SY0U3foiY?si=tz0pzbfAwkkBC048&t=5

Right off the bat, if one looks at the in-game description of the AK-74M, they’d notice the very high first shot recoil of the weapon. While the not-so-fast rate of fire of the AK-74M makes it so that it’s quite easy to control the recoil of the weapon, the initial strong weapon kick could throw off players, especially ones who are new to the game. Luckily, with the muzzle brake barrel attachment, that first shot recoil will be greatly weakened, and that will result in a more stable initial spray. This is great for Nomad as her gameplay involves having to engage enemies right after switching from her special gadget.

When encountering enemies while she’s using her Airjab Launcher, it’s always best for her to win the first stages of the fight by having a stable aim, and of course, that stable aim will be provided with the muzzle brake lowering its first shot recoil. With the first shot recoil of the AK-74M lowered, its subsequent shots will feel much easier to control, and that will lessen the chances of Nomad losing control of the weapon during its initial kick and when having to engage enemies suddenly. With the muzzle brake on the AK-74M, Nomad will excel at short sprays.

What Makes the AK-74M Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • Since the AK-74M's first shot recoil is very high, it’s best to lower it with a muzzle brake, as that will stabilize the recoil of its subsequent shots, preventing the user from being shocked by its initial kick
  • With the muzzle brake on the AK-74M assault rifle, Nomad will excel at short burst firing, and the initial weapon kick will be much more controllable, which is great for her gameplay
  • With the AK-74M's high magazine capacity and great short burst recoil from the muzzle brake, Nomad can apply suppressive fire through short bursts, and she’ll have great aim and stability
  • Short spray firing is great at any range, and that’s perfect for the AK-74M which also excels at any range due to its compatibility with high powered scopes like the scope 1.5x and 2.5x.

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 44
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 650 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 40 + 1

1. F2

https://youtu.be/6cZJJvY7qfw?si=9t2h9hN3Tfo3S_eA&t=22

The devs have nerfed Twitch’s F2 assault rifle a lot in an effort to balance out the pick rate between it and her 417 designated marksman rifle. So nowadays, the F2 assault rifle’s recoil is a lot harder to control because it has lost its compatibility to the vertical grip. This made a lot of Twitch mains furious, and understandably so. However, the F2 assault rifle remains a very viable weapon for Twitch and as long as you use the right kind of attachment, its recoil would still be fairly easy to control, and of course, the right kind of attachment that I’m talking about is the muzzle brake.

Just like with the other weapons featured in this list, the main problem with the F2’s recoil is its strong initial kick. That strong first shot recoil tends to surprise players and throw off their aim. That’s why greatly weakening it with a muzzle brake really helps when it comes to stabilizing its overall recoil, especially with the subsequent few shots from the initial shot. This makes the muzzle brake a great barrel attachment for short burst firing, and the F2 is also a great gun for short sprays because of its high rate of fire and below average magazine capacity.

What Makes the F2 Great for Muzzle Brake:

  • The F2 assault rifle has a really strong first shot recoil, and lowering that initial weapon kick with a muzzle brake goes a long way when it comes to stabilizing its overall weapon kick
  • Since the muzzle brake greatly lowers the first shot recoil, it’s a great barrel attachment for short sprays, and the F2 is perfect for short burst firing because of its very high rate of fire
  • The muzzle brake barrel attachment specializes in stabilizing the recoil of short sprays, and that’s also a great partner for the F2’s scope 1.5x which will allow the user to excel at shooting enemies at close to medium range, which is perfect for short bursts
  • Since the F2 has been nerfed by having its vertical grip removed, it’s important to lower its recoil with another attachment, and the muzzle brake is perfect for that

Weapon Stats:

  • Damage - 37
  • Mobility - 50
  • Rate of Fire - 980 RPM
  • Magazine Size - 25 + 1
