Goyo can create a lot of trouble for the attackers with his area-denial capabilities. His four Volcan Canisters, when exploded, will cover a large area in fire for twenty seconds, and in a Siege round, that’s a long time for an area to be denied. They’re also very versatile since they can be attached to most surfaces in the game including barricaded doors and windows.

So they don’t even need to be shot to be exploded, in many cases, the attackers will unintentionally explode them themselves while destroying the barricaded doors or windows that they’ve been attached to. Goyo is one of the most troublesome defenders in the game and he also brings in a lot of firepower when it comes to directly dealing with his enemies.

The Vector .45 ACP probably has the fastest rate of fire among all the primary weapons in the game. Combining that with its decent damage and magazine capacity, it can make short work of enemies. However, its biggest drawback is its very strong recoil, which can make Goyo hold on for dear life while shooting. Fortunately, there are attachments like the compensator and the vertical grip that can help him handle the Vector .45 ACP’s recoil and make it more effective for fragging enemies.

The compensator reduces the recoil diamond size of weapons. The bigger the recoil diamond size of the weapon is, the more horizontal recoil and random recoil from all directions the user will experience. So with the compensator, Goyo would mostly only be worrying about the weapon’s vertical kick. And speaking of vertical recoil, the vertical grip specializes in weakening it. So with this loadout setup, Goyo will have a good balance between vertical and horizontal recoil control on his Vector .45 ACP.

Excels in:

  • Reducing the horizontal recoil and random recoil from all directions of Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP with the use of the compensator barrel attachment
  • Having a good vertical recoil control on Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP due to the presence of the vertical grip attachment
  • Being able to target enemies more effectively due to the added zoom level from the scope 1.5x on the Vector .45 ACP
  • Having the ability to silently shoot attacker drones, claymores, and other gadgets, with the use of the suppressed P229 handgun
  • Having two great early warning devices in the proximity alarms for guarding known flanking spots

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Compensator, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P229 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Proximity Alarm

When it comes to controlling the recoil of the Vector .45 ACP, this loadout setup is the best. That’s because the Vector .45 ACP’s recoil diamonds are quite narrow, so its weapon kick mostly stems from its vertical recoil. And when it comes to weakening a weapon’s vertical recoil, having both the flash hider and the vertical grip will give you the best results. That’s because both attachments specialize in weakening the weapon’s vertical recoil, so having two of them in the weapon will provide maximum vertical recoil control for the user.

The great thing about the flash hider is that it doesn’t just lower the vertical recoil of the weapon. As its name implies, it will also hide the weapon’s muzzle flash, and that could make it a bit harder for enemies to immediately pinpoint where you’re shooting from. As for the suppressed P229 handgun, it’s a great utility to have when you’re flanking and you really do not want to alert enemies to your presence. That’s because with the suppressed P229 handgun, you’ll be able to silently shoot their drones, claymores, or other gadgets.

Excels in:

  • Having the best recoil control on the Vector .45 ACP due to the presence of both the flash hider and vertical grip attachments
  • Having a good amount of zoom level on the Vector .45 ACP through the scope 1.5x which is perfect for close to medium range shooting
  • Reducing the visual cues that enemies could see when you’re shooting at them with the flash hider removing the Vector .45 ACP’s muzzle flash
  • Being able to shoot attacker claymores, drones, and other gadgets, without alerting the enemies with the use of the suppressed P229 handgun
  • Countering shield operators and defuser plant attempts with the explosion power of the nitro cell

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Flash Hider, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P229 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Nitro Cell

3. Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + P229 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Nitro Cell

The suppressor has really risen in popularity due to the recent buff that removed its damage penalty on weapons. Now, the only drawback to using it is that it doesn’t add any recoil control benefit to the weapon it’s attached to, and that could be intimidating to hear when it comes to handing a weapon like the Vector .45 ACP which is famous for its very strong recoil. However, the stealth benefits that the suppressor brings to the table for Goyo outweighs the recoil benefits from barrel attachments like the compensator or the flash hider.

That’s because with the suppressor on the Vector .45 ACP, enemies would be slower to react to Goyo’s shots, be that for countering him or for taking cover. The suppressor will hide the directional threat indicator from Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP’s shots and its muzzle flash, so the enemies won’t immediately know where Goyo is shooting from. It will also greatly silence the weapon’s gunshots, making it very hard to determine where Goyo is through that particular audio cue, and his shots will be inaudible from beyond thirty meters.

Excels in:

  • Shooting enemies with Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP without them receiving a directional threat indicator of where your shots are coming from
  • Removal of the Vector .45 ACP’s muzzle flash through the suppressor could make it harder for enemies to pinpoint your location
  • Silencing of the Vector .45 ACP’s gunshots will make it even harder for enemies to determine your location
  • Having great recoil control on the P229 handgun due to the muzzle brake barrel attachment
  • Having a tight hip fire when shooting with the P229 handgun due to the laser attachment
  • Having the ability to score multiple kills or effectively counter a shield operator with the use of the nitro cell secondary gadget

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P229 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Nitro Cell

2. Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip + P229 with Suppressor and Laser + Proximity Alarm

As mentioned before, the Vector .45 ACP actually does decent damage per shot, but it’s still on the low end, especially when compared to most primary weapons in the game. That’s why the best barrel attachment for Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP is the extended barrel. Due to a recent buff, the extended barrel now adds 15% damage to weapons. That’s on top of it retaining its previous benefit of reducing the weapon’s range damage drop-off. So with this loadout setup, Goyo will be dealing the best damage possible from his Vector .45 ACP.

In most cases, I personally still prefer the stealth benefits from the suppressor than the added damage from the extended barrel. However, this loadout setup is in a higher ranking than the one with the suppressor on the Vector .45 ACP because Goyo isn’t really that stealthy anyway, and it would be rare for him to have to roam or even flank. Mostly, because of his special gadget and role, he would have to stay inside the objective spot and anchor. As for the weapon, the Vector .45 ACP really becomes a much better weapon with the added damage from the extended barrel.

Excels in:

  • Making Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP more powerful with the extended barrel adding 15% damage to it
  • Maximizing Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP’s damage output and potential with the extended barrel greatly reducing its range damage drop-off
  • Maintaining a good amount of vertical recoil control on Goyo’s Vector .45 ACP with the use of the vertical grip attachment
  • Being able to silently shoot attacker gadgets such as claymores and drones in case Goyo needs to flank, with the use of the suppressed P229 handgun
  • Being able to guard two flanking spots with the two proximity alarms in Goyo’s arsenal which are great early warning devices

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - Vector .45 ACP with Scope 1.5x, Extended Barrel, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P229 with Suppressor and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Proximity Alarm

1. TCSG12 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip + P229 with Muzzle Brake and Laser + Proximity Alarm

This loadout setup might be a bit harder to use than the previous ones in the list because the TCSG12 is a single slug firing shotgun and is therefore not automatic. However, it deals much higher damage per shot than the Vector .45 ACP. It has the scope 2.0x available to it. And perhaps its best quality over the Vector .45 ACP is that it can be used by Goyo to rework the map to the defending team’s advantage. Due to the heavy destruction profile per shot from the TCSG12, it can be used as a utility for creating rotation holes or more lines of sight on unreinforced walls.

As for its barrel attachment, the only choice that Goyo has is the suppressor, and since it doesn’t reduce the weapon’s damage anymore, there’s basically no drawback to using it on the TCSG12 so you might as well just run with it. As mentioned above, the suppressor will provide great stealth benefits such as being able to shoot enemies without them receiving a directional threat indicator, no muzzle flash from your shots, and they will also have a very hard time hearing your gunshots. For the generic gadget, the proximity alarm is a great partner for Goyo’s special gadget because it will let Goyo know when there are enemies near one of his Volcan Canisters.

Excels in:

  • Having great destructive capabilities with the TCSG12 shotgun which Goyo can take advantage of for reworking the map to his team’s advantage
  • Being able to see enemies bigger on your screen due to the high zoom level from the scope 2.0x on the TCSG12 shotgun
  • Making enemies slower to react to your shots due to them not receiving a directional threat indicator from the suppressed TCSG12
  • Making it much harder for enemies to hear your gunshots due to the suppressor on the TCSG12 shotgun
  • Having great recoil control on the P229 handgun due to the muzzle brake and tight hip fire due to the laser
  • Taking advantage of the proximity alarms to determine when to explode your Volcan Canisters

Build Details:

  • Primary weapon - TCSG12 with Scope 2.0x, Suppressor, and Vertical Grip
  • Secondary weapon - P229 with Muzzle Brake and Laser
  • Generic gadget - Proximity Alarm
