Let's Countdown The Best Games Like Persona 5

15) Yakuza 0

“Yakuza 0” Gameplay

Set in Tokyo, Japan, Yakuza 0 is the prequel to the first Yakuza game. Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima are the main protagonists, and players join them as they look into events related to the “Empty Lot” incident.

The “Empty Lot” incident serves as a central point for the power struggle between all of Japan’s dark organizations. The cool thing about this game is that as the story progresses, players switch off between Kiryu and Majima as they go their own way at several pre-determined points in the story.

In combat, players can also switch between their two battle styles, depending on whether they need a melee fighter or weapon expert. Yakuza 0 not only has a fun and new combat system, but it also has an in-depth story paired with an innovative way to experience it.

An interesting thing to note about the game is that there are 26 possible endings, although 21 of them are considered bad endings. Nier: Automata has multiple well-developed storylines that will keep players engaged for many hours to come.

While there is a main plot, Sleeping Dogs gives players enough freedom to make their game experience unique from others, and that makes it more than worth their time.

Players will spend time investigating different areas and trying to find contradictions in statements from other characters, similar to the games in the Ace Attorney series. Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc is a nice change of pace if you want to get a RPG storyline, without all the action and fighting.

3) Quantum Break

“Quantum Break” Gameplay

Quantum Break is a science fiction third-person shooter set in Riverport. Players play as Jack Joyce, who has the power to manipulate time, as he fights with his ex-friend Paul Serene. Both can time travel, but the two disagree on how to deal with an apocalyptic event called the “End of Time”. The game’s biggest time rule is that no time traveler action can change time; for example, if someone was meant to die in an accident and Jack saves them from it, they end up dying another way. Jack has a lot of time-oriented attacks in battle, like the ability to stop time and evade attacks, as well as freezing enemies in a time bubble. Quantum Break is an interesting take on the traditional concept of time travel, and it incorporates it seamlessly in all aspects of the game.

During battle, Clay can use different firearms, melee attacks, stealth tactics, or even call for a van of allies to help fight. Mafia 3 has the most mature storyline in the Mafia series, and a much larger exploration zone, giving players all the materials that they need to play for a very long time.

He is presented with a plan to smuggle guns into Africa, in which he asks his old friend Adam “Kane” Marcus to help him. Ideally, they will make enough money off this deal to retire from their life of criminal activities. Combat-wise, it is a very straightforward third-person shooter, and players are able to carry two weapons. The story is gritty and raw, but very different from many you will see in most third-person shooters. For a change of pace, give Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days a try, and see what it’s like when you risk it all to escape a life in the underworld.
