Darkest Dungeon has a lot of replay value; you can try new classes, builds and trinkets that you overlooked in your first run and learn from your prior mistakes to maximise your efficiency.  You can also try multiple DLC’s. However, once you run out of content, each new run can become less and less exciting. There is an easy fix for this: to install content adding mods, and there are plenty!

The Black Reliquary is a massive overhaul mod that adds an entirely new map, classes, hub, items and mechanics like religious affiliations and day and night cycles. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and the amount of new content included is honestly staggering. Check out the mods page for more info.

"Your fame is well deserved Spaniard. I don't think there's ever been a gladiator to match you."

Veteran Darkest Dungeon players will recognise the ringmaster from The Butchers Circus DLC, where they were a background NPC. This mod adds a playable version to your roster. The Ringmaster’s move set contains homages to the DLC that created the character like a base 75% resistance to killing blows (this number is the base resist of all combatants in Butchers Circus matchups).

Money, money, money. Always sunny. In the rich man's world.

This mod allows you to increase the amount of gold you get for clearing out a dungeon by two times, ten times or even one hundred times. This mod is great for repeat runs of the game because it removes a lot of the grinding from it and allows you to focus on the parts you want to replay, like boss fights or team comp experimentation.

Not a notice you would want to see your church news letter.

Let's hope the scarlet isn't the blood of your heroes!

Last and certainly not least, The Scarlet Ruins mod adds in a decent amount of new content. It adds in three new bosses, including the corrupt Scarlet Guardian. It also adds Scarlet Quirks, which are more powerful than standard quirks and consequently, your heroes may only have one at a time.
