As a fan of pro wrestling, I fully understand there are so many different routes you can go for your video game desires. From taking a created character from rookie to champion, to playing the role of booker and setting up shows, to using your favorite stars, there are countless options. This list will help narrow down which one is best to choose.
10. SLAMMED!

We begin the list with the text-based novel that is “SLAMMED!” In this interactive epic, you take your very own wrestler on a journey filled with twists and turns, as you cut promos, experience the ins and outs of front office drama, and see friends turn into enemies at the drop of a hat. Like the popular TellTale games based on “The Walking Dead” and “Batman,” the decisions you make here drive the story in whatever direction you see fit, putting you in complete control.

With realistic AI, simulations, and move sets, this is an underrated gem of the wrestling game world.

8. Extreme Warfare Revenge

It’s an old game, but a classic. In “Extreme Warfare Revenge,” you put yourself in the shoes of a booker or wrestling promotion owner, making all the decisions to run a successful company. You choose who faces who, who gets signed, where you run your shows, who the champions are, and everything in between. It’s one of the most famous booking simulators in existence.

7. Booking Revolution
nL Live on Hitbox.tv – “Booking Revolution”
The original 2D wrestling management sim! You’re allowed to run one of six different promotions, while attempting to be the best of the bunch. Then, you deploy your roster into matches in hopes of getting the best ratings and if you fail, watch your dream job crumble. The pressure is on.
At least one of these guys is a cheesy knockoff of the Iron Sheik.
A cowboy running a wrestling promotion sounds like all kinds of fun.
6. Wrestling Revolution 3D
nL Live – “Wrestling Revolution 3D” on Steam!
Similar to “Booking Revolution,” “Wrestling Revolution 3D” takes what works there and amplifies it. It’s the biggest mobile sim, but it’s even bigger on your desktop. This game includes over 300 wrestlers, 9 promotions, multiple match types, various camera angles, and so much more, making it one of the most extensive non-WWE games available.
WAR GAMES! Without the cage, but there's carnage everywhere.

5. WWE 2K17

It’s a year behind, but it remains one of the best wrestling games around. “WWE 2K17” features all the stars of World Wrestling Entertainment, the biggest wrestling company in the world, while also including the legends you grew up watching. With a new promo engine, soundtrack curated by P. Diddy, and classic WCW wrestlers and arenas, you can relive some of your favorite moments in history or make your own.
Goldberg and Brock Lesnar take their rivalry to the casual world of the backstage area.

The gameplay in this one is straight up wild as you can use some ridiculous weapons leading to some wrestlers coming up with missing limbs. You’ve got to play this one to believe it.
Fake Rick Steiner looks absolutely shocked at this turn of events.
These matches can get pretty extreme, including the glass panes on the mat.
3. Total Extreme Wrestling

The other Adam Ryland creation, “Total Extreme Wrestling” is basically the ultimate wrestling simulation game. It’s an incredibly accurate and in-depth way to run and control a wrestling promotion, besting “Extreme Warfare Revenge.” . There’s also enough customizable features for you to recreate the companies you see on television and try to run them on your own.
Like Brazilian luchador El Sultan, you can get every piece of information about every wrestler in the game.

2. WWE 2K18

Take what was said about “WWE 2K17” and crank it up to eleven. This installment is the most realistic yet and features the largest roster in any WWE game in history. It is the most popular wrestling game on the market.

It doesn’t look the part, but it’s probably the most accurate and realistic experience you’ll find on this list.
