Managing your stamina can be a headache in My Time at Sandrock. Digging for scrap, running around gathering herbs, and fighting monsters; all of these activities consume your precious stamina, which you only have a limited amount of each day.

However, gathering resources doesn’t have to leave you deprived of your stamina, as builders can consume food to restore stamina. But which items in the game are the best at restoring stamina?

In this article, we’ll count down and describe the top 5 best items to munch on for your stamina-restoring needs in My Time at Sandrock.

5. Dried Sandacuda

How to get Dried Sandacuda:

Wild rutabagas aren't hard to spot, but they can be sparse

This food item restores 41 stamina points and requires the player to experiment with their Chef’s Cooking Station to unlock it. The rutabagas themselves aren’t accessible until later in the game’s story when the area where they can be gathered is unlocked, so be mindful of that.

How to get Roast Rutabaga:

  • Needs the Chef’s Cooking Station to be cooked
  • To cook it on the Chef’s Cooking Station, you need to set it to experiment mode and set the cooking method to Wok
  • Once the cooking method is set to Wok, add one unit of Rutabaga, Sea Salt, Sand Leek, and Alfalfa

Cilantro Meatloaf is a dish that can be either bought from the Blue Moon To-Go store or cooked at your workshop. Like the Roast Rutaba dish, this dish also requires the player to experiment with their Chef’s Cooking Station to unlock it; it won’t show up in your known recipes until you do so.

How to get Cilantro Meatloaf:

  • Needs the Chef’s Cooking Station to be cooked
  • To cook it on the Chef’s Cooking Station, you need to set it to experiment mode and set the cooking method to Wok
  • Once the cooking method is set to Wok, add one unit of Meat, Cilantro, Flour, and Five Spice Powder
  • Cilantro is bought from the Mysterious Man, a salesperson who visits Sandrock on the 20th and 21st of each month
  • Five Spice Powder is made using a Blender

Intoxicated Dream drinks are sold at Squeeze the Day, which is unlocked later in the game's story

Instead of restoring a flat amount of stamina points, this drink restores a percentage of your total stamina when consumed. So if you have 200 total stamina, consuming this drink restores about 66 stamina points!

The Intoxicated Dream beverages are unlocked much later in the game’s story when a certain character opens up a stall where she sells her drinks.

How to get Intoxicating Dream beverages:

  • They are bought from Squeeze the Day, a stall that eventually opens up outside the Blue Moon Saloon
  • It costs 300 gols each

Intoxicating Dream stats:

  • Restores 33% of your total stamina

Vending machines are located within ruins and dungeons, and are easy to spot

The best item to get in the game for your stamina-restoring needs is not exactly food, but medicine. Heat Stroke Medicine comes in three qualities: Outstanding which restores 10 stamina points, Perfect which restores 100 stamina points, and Rare which restores 100% (all of your stamina!).

Fang sells the basic Outstanding Heat Stroke Medicine at his shop but the other two qualities are bought from vending machines found inside ruins.

How to get Heat Stroke Medicine:

  • They are bought from Vending Machines, which are found inside ruins
  • They are not cheap, so be ready to spend some gols!

Heat Stroke Medicine stats:

  • Only the highest tier, Rare, restores 100% of your total stamina
