From tear-worthy moments to some of the most motivational moments of any videogame, these are some of the best moments you will rewatch even after going through the game multiple times.

10. Kara Sacrifices Herself to Save Alice Cross the Borders

Didn’t want to start the list on a sad note, but while the whole game had these melancholic vibes to it, it’s hard to find a better moment to make it to our list, as Kara and Alice almost made it through the borders, they have to go through the last Inspection gate, as kara learns the hard truth that she must act as a decoy for Alice to make it through the boarders alive, we get on of the saddest goodbyes in the game, as Kara leans forward to Alice before hugging her and crying while telling her that she was the reason she felt alive and she can’t go any further with her.

I got this on my first playthrough and got super angry that I had to restart the whole chapter all over again to not get this ending, good thing you can just watch it on YouTube rather than going through it after hours and hours of gameplay!

9. Carl’s Emotional Death Besides Markus

If you didn’t at least tear up a little when Markus called Carl “Dad” then I don’t even know what could tear you up, Carl was the spark that lit Markus into being a deviant, in the story arc, Carl actually treated Markus as his son and not as an emotionless android, he taught him about art, music, and literature, and even made him express himself through some paintings, which made the actual son of Carl, Leo feels jealous which lead to the fight between Leo and Markus resulting in Carl’s dead due to a heart attack and for our beautiful scene to be born.

Markus felt like Carl was his dad and cried calling him dad before he died, which means that Carl was right all along!

8. Android’s Hell and Markus Resurrection

As every protagonist have his falling down and then being reborn arc, Markus had an actual Resurrection, after Markus got caught with the dead body of Carl he got disassembled and thrown in the android graveyard, a chapter worthy of being a creepy pasta, Markus starts to crawl among the dead bodies of his fellows and starts to collect body parts so he can function again, the coolest part about this is you get to experience every part replaced by Markus, you get a blurry vision until you find suitable eyes, same with every missing body part.

Fun fact about this chapter, in the background noises you can hear an AX400 singing a song that was an easter egg for when Kara was asked to sing a song and started to sing the same song.

7. The Freedom March

Whether you take the violent route or the peaceful one, The freedom March is still one of the best moments in Detroit: Become Human, as you see the deviants marching while shouting “equal rights” and “freedom” you have no other option than getting the goosebumps of remembering hundreds if not thousands of similar real-life events all across the world, that’s the beautiful aspect of this game, that every scenario portrayed in this game could be easily imagined as a real-life event, and who knows maybe one day we will march beside the Androids!

6. Conner’s Speech After Becoming the Leader of Deviants

After you lost Markus one way or another and you feel desperate, shines a bright hope of a new leader for the deviants, after he succeeded to free them all from the Cyberlife building and marched towards the streets, the media and the president of the united states of America finally admitted that there is another form of intelligent life that must be respected and treated such as humans, you get the last plot twist, that there is still a way for cyber life to control Conner and after struggling to free himself he takes out his gun and points it towards himself, as he is scared that cyberlife will take control over him again and all the sacrifice everyone made will just go to vain.

5. Markus Singing with North and The Rest of The Deviants

“Hold On Just a Little While Longer” Markus sang in from of many guns pointed at him, “everything will be alright” he continued singing while other deviants started to join him, this was one of the most beautiful possibilities you can end up with, you have to make the media and the public know that you’re more than metal and that they have feelings and deserves to be treated as such.

A powerful scene designed especially for Markus with the soundtracks and camera work, how can you not watch them sing over and over again?

4. Kara and Alice at The Carnival

In a huge turn of events after being attacked by strangers in the carnival, we get to go through a moment we all had been craving since we first met Alice and Kara and witnessed how Todd treated them both, a motherly connection between the both of them, something Alice never got the chance to experience, in that scene Kara stands beside Luther telling him that this is the first time she saw Alice smile, and Luther replies saying she hasn’t had much to smile about lately, the whole scene with the powerful music will leave you in tears!

3. Daniel Apologies and Justifies What He Did to Conner

In the first chapter of the game you get to interact with Daniel, an Android set to assist and take care of a little girl, in a hostage situation while he takes the little girls hostage, Conner is the one responsible to solve the whole situation and get the girl to safety, as you don’t yet understand the real motives of Deviants you start to assume that some androids just went rouge and need to be eliminated, but by the end of the game you get to confront Daniel again, as he apologizes for what he did and states his real motives, that he loved the little girl so much that when her parents decided to replace him he felt lost and didn’t know what to do!

2. Markus Painting

“I am just an old man clinging to his brushes,” said Carl just right before he tell Markus to hold a brush and paint something, hesitated Markus proceeds to paint a normal painting, which Carl tells him to close his eyes and imagine something he has never seen before, Markus then paints a beautiful painting that leaves Carl in awe, a heavy scene full of deep meaning like Carl implicitly telling Markus that he will continue his legacy after he passes away by making him hold the brush, or that he believes that Markus is not just an android but a creature capable of dreaming, imagining and feeling, as you will witness in other scenes he treats him like son, exposing him to music and literature throughout the early chapters of the game.

1. The Deviants Recall Center (Extermination Camp)

This is the saddest possibility you can get in Detroit: Become Human by far, as Kara and Alice got captured by humans and got sent to the extermination camp, you get to witness the dehumanizing treatment they get, and in a scene full of tears you will get to experience a very traumatizing series of events in which Kara and Alice are forced to remove their human skin and march towards their death while they shed the tears of proof that they are way more than androids, and the scene ends with Alice’s dead body in a graveyard full of robots.

Fun fact about this scene, the actual site this scene is taking place on is also the site of the international monument to the underground railroads.
