Old school tower defense games have always been a major component in the gaming world, and seeing old-school games such as ‘Rogue Tower’ coming out in 2022 brings back plenty of great memories for many gamers.

Rogue Tower’ requires players to build and defend towers, much like any other tower defense game. However, in ‘Rogue Tower’ the map or path to the tower via which enemies can attack expands to a much greater degree, stretching resources and making wise strategic placement of towers and defenses crucial to survival.

In ‘Rogue Tower’ the terrain, as well as the type of tower and several other factors all influence how effective a tower is at defending players’ bases against enemy forces. It is thus crucial that players carefully consider which towers to place at which positions in order to achieve maximum effectiveness against invading enemy forces.

Players also control the direction each extension on the path takes as they level up their towers and defenses. Wise directing of the pathways can make it easier to defend the main tower against enemies that become increasingly stronger as the game progresses.

Enemies have unique abilities, and some towers are better suited to defend against certain abilities than others. Thus balanced tower placement is crucial.

Players will be awarded cards after each match which can be used to upgrade towers and build new ones. Persistent upgrades will remain permanently, allowing players to level up and become stronger the longer they play the game.

‘Rogue Tower’ is developed by ‘Die of Death Games’ and is available on Steam.
