Death has always been one of the most feared experiences on planet earth. However, dead bodies that don’t stay dead, or that are surrounded by creepy mystery, tend to be feared a lot more.

WW2 saw millions of horrible deaths and is shrouded in tragedy, heartbreak, and loss. During the war, millions of innocent civilians also suffered horrific deaths, some in bombings, and others from horrifyingly cruel treatment.

Marth is Dead’ tells the tragic story of a young woman who was murdered in cold blood, her “desecrated” body found after she was drowned.

Players take on the role of her younger sister Giulia as she struggles to deal with the heartache and tragedy of losing her sister so horribly, all the while hunting for the truth behind Martha’s death.

The game is described by developers as “an exploration of loss, relationships and the psychological undertones of a dark period of history through the eyes of a young woman who seeks the truth, but who also has secrets of her own to hide.”

The game features a variety of creepy features, including games with marionette dolls that play out suppressed memories, calling up the spirit ‘The Lady’ from the dead to speak to her and try to find out more about what happened to Martha.

The game utilizes Italian as the primary language to add authenticity and make the game as immersive as possible.

‘Martha is Dead’ is developed by ‘Wired Productions’ and is available on Steam.
