Another new feature of this year’s series is the inclusion of Xbox and Playstation players, allowing them to participate in the ALGS for the first time. Captains can register their teams for the ALGS on Battlefy and enter the various tournaments through Battlefy.

Following the preseason qualifiers, which have taken place through September and October, ALGS year 2 is kicking off with Challenger Circuit 1, taking place from October 2021 through to December 2021. Qualifying teams will advance to the Pro Leauge qualifier that will be held in January 2022.

Teams that win in the qualifiers will advance to Pro League Split 1 (Oct-Dec 2021) and Split 2 (Feb-Mar 2022) Qualifying teams from Split 1 and 2 will advance to Split 1 Playoffs (Jan 2022) and Split 2 Playoffs (May 2022).

Challenger Circuit 2 will be held from February 2022 to March 2022 for a chance to qualify to compete in the Championship Last Chance Qualifier 1 in May 2022.

Championship Last Chance Qualifier 2 will also be held in May 2022 to give players who failed to qualify from the Pro Leauge Splits and Split Playoffs a final chance to qualify for a spot in the ALGS Championship in July 2022
