[Top 10] ACNH Best Foods To Sell

The long-awaited Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update added a plethora of new characters and features. The ability to cook food with ingredients you’ve harvested on your island was one of those shiny new additions and it’s just *chef’s kiss*. Not only can you eat and display the food you cook, but you can also sell it. And depending on what the food item is, the profit margins can be pretty hefty. I’ve compiled a list of some of the best food items to sell to Timmy and Tommy Nook. Bonus: Most of these recipes are included in the “Basic Recipes” DIY in Nook’s Cranny.

10. Flour (210 Bells)

By itself, wheat is useless. But its byproduct, flour, is used in virtually every other recipe. And if you have an abundance of it, you’re able to sell it to Timmy and Tommy for 210 bells per sack. This may not help you pay off your million-dollar loan to Tom Nook, but it’ll earn you some pocket change so you can, um, turn around and buy more crops from Leif.

9. Grilled Sea Bass (540 Bells)

Congratulations, you’ve just caught your forty-seventh sea bass of the day. Yes, the game is taunting you. But wait! Before you sell it to the Nook twins, grab five clumps of weeds from your storage and make some grilled sea bass. You can sell it for 540 bells a pop and secretly relish the opportunity to cook one of these finned nuisances.

8. Carrot Cake (630 Bells)

Not to be confused with “Mom’s Homemade Carrot Cake,” which is a customizable furniture item. This carrot cake is perfectly edible, and it’ll look nice on the table in one of your island’s quaint cafes. Of course, you can sell it in the Cranny for 630 bells, which is a deal because it only requires one of each ingredient! Cha-ching.

7. Fruit Smoothies (200 Bells for native fruit, 1000 Bells for foreign fruit)

I know that many of us have spaces on our island dedicated to orchards. And if you don’t, these fruit smoothies give you another reason to build one. If you sell a smoothie with your island’s native fruit, you get a measly 200 bells, but if you sell a fruit smoothie with a foreign fruit, you get 1,000 bells per smoothie! I know this feels like a cheat code, but I promise it isn’t.

6. Sea-bass pie (1,240 Bells)

Yes, I have another Sea Bass recipe for you. Because there is an objectively annoying abundance of Sea Bass in the game, you should have some leftover even after trying out the Grilled Sea Bass recipe from above.

5. Tomato Puree (1,260 Bells)

The first starter that Leif started selling on my island was the Tomato starter, and I bought twenty. In the words of Bob Ross, this was a happy accident because using just three tomatoes I was able to make tomato puree and sell it to the Twin Terrors for a whopping 1,260 bells.

4. Squid-ink curry (1,360 Bells)

The beautiful thing about the Squid in ACNH is that it will spawn in the sea at any time of day. If you mix it with three bags of flour you can make Squid-ink Curry and sell it for 1,360 bells per plate. This price point almost makes it worth the thought of diving in the frigid water. Almost.

3. Carrot Potage (1,370 Bells)

According to Google, “potage” simply means “thick soup.” To make it, all you’re going to need is two carrots, and two sacks of flour. You can sell this bad boy for 1,370 bells and be well on your way to paying off the loan from your tenth iron bridge.

2. Seaweed Soup (1,440 Bells)

This soup only has one ingredient, seaweed, and you get a whopping 1,440 bells for it. I used to sell my seaweed outright to Nook’s Cranny but not anymore. Can we say, “minimum effort with maximum payout?”

1. Tomato Curry (2,520 Bells)

Yet another curry dish, and one that I wouldn’t mind trying IRL. But that’s not why it tops this list. This curry can be sold for 2,520 bells and all you need is three bags of flour and three tomatoes. For this reason, it has quickly become one of my favorite dishes to make in the game, and you should definitely give it a try too.
