Harley is a flexible and adaptable Mage/Assassin who specializes in Burst/Poke. He is well-known and unique for his ultimate skill, which deals continuous damage while buffing successive damage dealt. One of his most notable ability is  to teleport via his second skill. If you want to master Harley, this primary offense and attack strategy must be practiced and perfected.

Harley is best played as a Jungler who can gank lanes in between monitoring the jungle. He is one of the most powerful heroes in all of Mobile Legends and is quite hard to master even though his skills are easy to learn due to the complex gameplay associated with his unique character.

Strengths

  • Mobility - Harley has remarkable mobility, especially when reinforced by his skills. Added on to this is his ability to teleport to and from a designated area.
  • Versatility - Harley can roam, gank lanes, poke opposing fronts, and jungle. Aside from that, he is a fantastic support who can assist in an abundance of tactics.
  • Burst - This is one of Harley's specialties and a valuable asset. All of his skills revolve around Burst, which has the added benefit of dealing huge amounts of damage with CC effects.
  • Continuous Damage - Harley’s Ultimate Skill has the capacity to deal expansive damage and also slows the opponent for up to 3 seconds. It can also lock on one opponent, which guarantees sure impact.
  • Poke - Through the use of Harley’s Second and First Skill, he can teleport to enemy fronts and poke with his First Skill which also deals Continuous Damage.

Weaknesses

  • Squishy - As a High Damage Dealer, Harley is a soft hero who is weak against huge amounts of damage. He does however have a vast array of offensive strategies to make up for this.
  • Hard To Master - In all his versatility through strategy and gameplay, Harley is observantly hard to master. His presence is sorely missed in battle if not well played.
  • Dependent on Build - Harley is best played in the Jungle for this reason. He depends on items for damage. Without items, opponents with HP regen abilities and Sustained Damage Heroes can counter his Continuous Damage which is delivered over time.
  • Crowd Control - Despite his respective range, Harley still requires close proximity to the opponent to fully apply skill impact. He tends to serve on the front lines, but he lacks the crowd control skills that most mages possess. His damage is delivered to one opponent.

Harley is an adequate support hero due to his diverse set of abilities. He can fill roles that a team has left open. He is best deployed as a core hero in the jungle due to his speed, ganking qualities, and capacity to fill vacant roles. Here are his top three winning builds. All these builds are suited for gameplay as a core hero and blessed with Retribution.

3. Jungle

Although being a mage build, it is one that perfectly suits Harley’s unique skill set and Jungling abilities. It complements him as an assassin that may deal immense damage from the early stages of battle. It is an assault build where focus is on jungling objectives.

In order to play this build, you have to master Harley offensively, as this build is focused on attack and gaining gold for the team. It lacks defensive items, which may be a threat to Harley in other objectives. This is a safe build for taking out jungling objectives swiftly, thus leading to successful build up in team gold.

Use this build if.

  • You’re Jungling - This build is suited for taking out Jungle objectives. Do not rush into other roles, as your goal is to lead team gold count that adds to power in taking on other objectives with a well built team later in the game.
  • You’re Roaming - This build is suited for roaming, as Harley has a unique advantage of skills and mobility  that grant him an advantage in roaming.
  • You’re Ganking - This build is an assault build that makes Harley squishy as a high damage dealer. With the ability to teleport, he is deadly in supporting lanes through ganking.
  • You have a complete team - Your main focus should be on Jungling early in the game that contributes to team power that has an overall effect on gameplay. For this reason, it is vital that all team roles are filled and you have time to effectively cover your farm goals.

This build is best against teams that have high damage dealers, especially Mages and Marksmen. This build offers a high probability of winning team gold count in a match.

Skills

Level Up Harley’s First Skill at Level One. It delivers more damage and is relevant in Jungling Objectives. Follow up with his Second Skill at Level Two for an advantage in mobility. Follow this sequence and level up his Ultimate Skill when it becomes available.

  • Level One: First Skill - (Poker Trick)
  • Level Two: Second Skill - (Space Escape)
  • Level One: First Skill - (Poker Trick)
  • Level Three: Ultimate Skill - (Deadly Magic)

Items

  • Ice Hunter’s Arcane Boots ($710) - These boots enhance movement speed and deal 10% Magic  Penetration. Aside from this, when blessed with Ice Hunter through Retribution, it delivers 2% True Damage to the target over 3 seconds that is increased to 4% for non-marksmen heroes. It also increases HP by 2% when targeting creeps.
  • Genius Wand - ($2000) - This magic wand enhances magic power and movement speed. It also deals magic damage to opponents and stacks up to 3 times. • Glowing Wand - ($2200) - Another magic wand that enhances magic power, HP and movement speed. • Clock of Destiny - ($1950) - This magic wand enhances Magic Power, HP and Mana. By this mid to late game stage, Harley should be bursting through the jungle and being involved in team fights. • Lightning Truncheon - ($2250) - This is the best end item for this build. It enhances Magic Power, Mana and Cooldown Reduction. It also deals extra damage in the form of a lightning bolt which significantly impacts the late stages of gameplay. Harley shouldn’t be on retreat at this late game stage, as he has items that enhance his burst and replenish what he lacks.

2. Late-game Core

This build increases magic damage as gameplay goes on. It revitalizes HP and Mana as well, which is crucial for Harley in the late game as a high powered mage who uses a significant amount of HP and Mana when engaging skills.

This is a build that requires patience and offers the possibility of filling in for other roles during gameplay. Its main focus is still on farming and leading team gold count. It offers versatility to Harley’s skill set, opposed to his versatility in taking on roles.

Use this build if.

  • You’re Jungling - As a late-game core, you are required to farm fast and build items quicker than opponents.
  • You Can Take On Other Roles - This build enhances Harley’s skills that gives him an advantage of taking on other roles in support of team mates.
  • You Have a Mismatched Team - Stemming from the above mentioned point, use this build to cover up any roles left open by a team where roles are not fully covered in pick.

This build is best suited for teamwork and is best against a team with sustained damage heroes such as Tanks and Fighters. It enhances Harley’s powerful skillset.

Skills

  • Glowing Wand - ($2200) - Magic Power, HP and Movement Speed that can burn and slow down opponents as its unique passive. This complements the item before it and contributes to the overall objective of leading in gold count and completing the build asap.
  • Holy Crystal - ($2180) - This sacred item enhances Magic Power. 21-35% extra magic power is dealt, which is the beginning of a mid game run where Harley should be harassing the front lines and trying to advance into enemy territory. This item greatly enhances his Ultimate Skill and is a nuisance in lanes and team fights.
  • Divine Glaive - ($1970) - Magic Penetration. As a Spell Breaker, this is an essential item in taking on Mages and Sustained Damage Heroes in team fights during the mid-late game. This renders Harley versatile in taking on all opponents.
  • Immortality - ($2120) - This life support item has a psychological effect that is shown through visuals that is sure to make opponents think twice about attacking. It adds physical defense after resurrecting 2.5 seconds after being killed. It suits this build as it adds a layer of protection at the end of a series of high powered items that have devastating effects in the late stages of battle.
