[Top 10] Minecraft Explorer Seeds That Are Fun! (2022 Edition)

As every open-world gaming fan knows, there’s something deeply magical and immersive about a vast, diverse landscape. In Minecraft, the world seed is what determines where and how locations will generate, and with 1.18’s new cave and cliff generation style, there are some incredible sights to behold - and secrets to uncover - in every new game you dive into. Here are ten breathtaking seeds to explore and experience.

This seed spawns you in what, at first glance, appears to be a normal jungle. Lush and vibrant, with no shortage of wood or exotic fauna, but crowded and difficult to move or build in. However, this jungle is hiding a mountain with a fascinatingly flat and round apex. It rises just above the tops of the tallest trees, and when I first saw it, I immediately thought it felt… significant, somehow. Like something ancient was lurking under the stone, or something holy was meant to be built there. Perhaps you could be the one to build it.

This seed’s spawn is circled by twenty-one different biomes, giving players early access to any landscape in the game that they crave to build in or explore. There’s a savannah, a jungle, a mesa, and a tundra, and of course, much, much more, clustered around you and ripe for expedition. Who knows what you might find, with so many diverse locations right at your fingertips?

I’ll admit, number eight is based a little upon a personal bias: I love villages in Minecraft. I love how they look, I love how the villagers sound, and, most of all, I love all the loot they contain. This village, nestled against a snowy mountain with one little house perched on its peak, gives me such lovely storybook energy. They’re located in a round, grassy valley, walled in by a frozen mountain range to keep them and their goats safe and sound.

7. 220735489 - Contorted Savannah Island

This seed features a fascinatingly shaped windswept savannah, floating in the sea. The land mass looks tall and twisted, like its tunnels have been carved out for centuries by wind and water chipping away at the stone. Nearby is a village on the coast, great for early game loot and beds when you first start playing - as well as a lovely place to stop and admire the scenery.

6. -1488721045 - Lush Cavern Crater

In the middle of this thick taiga lies a massive cave mouth. Its maw is stretched open to receive any curious adventurers that crave to explore its depth, filled with moss and vines and mysterious fruits that glow in the dark. Much of this lush cavern is exposed to the bright, sunny surface… but not all of it. Only a dedicated wanderer has what it takes to find out what it’s hiding in the dark.

5. -1058495785 - Two Ancient Temples

Despite appearing, from afar, to contain only sand and rabbits, deserts are one of the most important biomes in Minecraft. Not only do they contain large, sprawling villages with gorgeous and unique architecture, but they also hide mysterious, abandoned temples - which, of course, have their own share of secrets to discover. This seed spawns you near a desert village, next to not one, but two desert temples built right into the sea.

4. 8624896 - Valley Oasis

Start Video At: 3:05

Check out the seed: https://youtu.be/hCAYVTSEcOI?t=185

This seed spawns you near a circular snowy mountain range, which rings a deciduous forest valley. The valley itself has a deep lake at its center. Not only is this location beautiful and serene, but it’s extremely exciting. If the mountains hide the trees, and the trees hide the lake, then what does the lake hide…? Only one way to find out.

3. -1964700328 - Loot Heaven

This seed isn’t as remarkable in its scenery so much as it is in its playability. You spawn in a snowy taiga on the edge of a village. The village’s homes contain chests packed with valuable items. In fact, the first chest you are likely to open contains three diamonds and a nearly complete set of iron armor. You’d be nigh unstoppable from the very beginning of the game.

2. 1032336628 - Fairytale Cavern

The landscape of this seed’s spawn is confusing in its complexity. It’s difficult to describe in words, so I recommend taking a look at yourself. The magnificent pool of water at the mouth of this lush cavern spills into the caves over multiple waterfalls. There are several little floating islands, hovering over the lake, a few dotted with giant mushrooms from the dark oak forest that surrounds the valley. There are no words to describe this seed better than “gorgeous fairytale.”

1. -214858470 - I’m Not Sure Why or How You Built This Here, but I’m Impressed Anyway

So… there’s basically a category of seeds entirely devoted to woodland mansions that generate at spawn. But forget about all those seeds, right now. This one utterly decimates its competition. Not only is there a mansion at spawn, but it is located inside a lush cavern. The foundation is immense and blocky and floats in the middle of this moss-and-ivy coated ravine, illuminated by glow berries, and upon it stands the mansion, tall and proud of its impossible existence.

After researching and writing this list, I’m simply itching to check all of these seeds out. They’re all so beautiful and fascinating, and we’ve barely scratched the surface of the incredible places and treasures they’re concealing. If you check out any of these seeds, we would love to hear what you find. Until next time, we’ll see you around - and happy gaming.
