Skarner is one of the oldest and easiest champions to play in League of Legends. He can initiate teamfights with his ultimate, suppress and drag his enemy wherever he pleases. In this article, we will rank each of his skins so we can determine which skins are worth buying.

5. Sandscourge Skarner

Sandscourge Skarner is one of the oldest skins in League of Legends. It offers  new splash art and a new in-game model where Skarner looks like a menacing sand scorpion. Unfortunately, there are no new skills, sounds, or particle effects for this skin. Considering its price, there should have been a bit of effect added to make it a good skin.

How to get it: It can be obtained as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, as a permanent skin by rerolling three skin shards, or by purchasing it for 975 Riot Points.

4. Earthrune Skarner

Out of all his skins, Earthrune Skarner is the cheapest that players can get. Just like Sandscourge Skarner, it offers  new splash art and a new in-game model. Even though it does not have any skills, sounds, or particle effects, I personally liked the in-game model because Skarner looks majestic and ancient with the runic stones, and he is well designed in this skin.

How to get it: It can be obtained as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, as a permanent skin by rerolling three skin shards, or by purchasing it for 520 Riot Points.

3. Guardian of the Sands Skarner

Riot Games should have had an easy hit with this skin, but they didn't do it justice. His armor and crystal spikes, the sands incorporated into his skills, the sounds, and the particle skills are great, but when it comes to his in-game model, the color combination seems off, his small face is not menacing, and the recall animation is also underwhelming.

How to get it: It can be obtained as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, as a permanent skin by rerolling three skin shards, or by purchasing it for 975 Riot Points.

Released in 2021, Cosmic Sting Skarner is the latest addition to his skins. It comes with  new splash art, filtered voice, an in-game model where Skarner is shown as an ancient creature, and a recall animation. Players are ecstatic that the splash art matches his in-game model perfectly. Galactic effects and trails are added to his skills, sounds, and particle effects.Skarner forms the Scorpio zodiac sign for his recall. This skin is the only one that has a Chroma Bundle available to buy.

How to get it: It can be obtained as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, as a permanent skin by rerolling three skin shards, or by purchasing it for 1350 Riot Points.

1. Battlecast Alpha Skarner

Battlecast Skarner is the current best skin for Skarner. The in-game model of Skarner is a prototype machine that has chainsaws as his hands, and a tail made out of harpoon. Rockets and mechanical sounds are added to the skills, sounds, and particle effects, which look gorgeous. As a Legendary-tier skin, it also comes with a new dance emote, recall and death animations, as well as new normal attacks and idle animations.

How to get it: It can be obtained as a skin shard in a Hextech Box, as a permanent skin by rerolling three skin shards, or by purchasing it for 1820 Riot Points.
