Goalkeepers are top priority, if you don’t have a keeper over 70 overall, you won’t even get out of EFL League One. They are the last line of defense between the opposing attackers and your goal. You should have at least 2, one starter, and a backup that rotates every 3 games or so.

What is a Wonderkid?

A wonderkid is a teen player with star potential. They are 16-19 years old with anywhere from 55-80 overall to start and can jump into the 90s when they hit their max potential. These are the players you want on your team.

Why are they valued?

They’re valued because of their potential. They are great because they are young, and you can sign them over and over until they're in their 30s getting close to 15 years from some of these players. There is no downside unless you’re trying to find them by yourself, there are a lot of 70 potential players, but that’s why this is here for you.

15. Jan Olschowsky GK 19 6’

Jan has great skills that start off average. He's in the mid-60s in all of his GK stats and only gets better with time. He's one of the better jumping GKs so he's decent at penalty defending.

My expert opinion on Jan is that he's a good start for a lower league, but he’s not available until EFL League One at $1.2 million. He's good at growth though, as his overall jumps from 63 - 71 after 4 seasons. He's a steal if you can get him early on.

  • Jumping - He starts with a 78 in jumping, allowing him to save more goals from being scored.

He's one of the two youngest GKs on this list and has one of the best potentials of starters in the lowest leagues. He's in the 60s in all of his stats except speed and is a great defender with decent height. He also has the biggest upside of the GK players on this list.

In my expert opinion, he's the best pick if you want to start your journey in EFL League Two or even One. He's less than $1 million and is available instantly. He also runs from 62 - 71 in 4 seasons. He's my favorite pick to remain a starter for any player going from EFL League Two to the Premier League.

Xavier Dziekonski Strengths

  • GK Positioning - His GK positioning stat is at 65 to start.
  • Strength - He's strong to start with a 63 overall stat in the category.

He's a tall and physical Goalkeeper. He's great at protecting the net and is willing to put his body on the line for your club. He has average stats to start, but over time will become a beast.

In my expert opinion, he's a pass unless you start in the Championship League or equivalent level. He Jumps from 62 - 72 in 4 seasons and is inexpensive at l $1.2 million. He's a great starting player and would be higher on my list if it wasn’t for the fact that he won’t play for any leagues lower than the Championship League.

Pere Joan Strengths

  • Jumping - He starts with an 80 overall in this category, giving him great range paired with his 6’2” size.
  • Strengths - He starts with a strength stat of 72.

He's a tall and physical GK, who puts his body on the line for his club. He's mediocre to start, but within a few seasons, he’ll flourish. If you need a backup or a starter he will help in either role.

In my expert opinion, he's a good starting player, you can start with him in almost any league including EFL League Two. He's only $1.4 million and isn’t one of the worst starting overalls you can get. He shoots from 63 - 72 in 4 seasons but gains 3 - 4 overall stats within the first season. He's a solid pick to put in your lineup if you like his build and size.

11. Lucas Chevalier GK 19 6’4”

He's a well-rounded GK. He has some good starting stats and is one of the better plug-and-play players on this list. He fits with almost every team and can be molded into the type of GK you need.

In my expert opinion, this is an okay pick to start. However, if you start lower than EFL League One, then this might not be a perfect fit for you. He does develop slowly from 65 - 74 in 4 seasons but is less than $2 million. This is in the eye of who is playing, if you need a plug-and-play keeper in EFL League One or higher, he’s your man.

Senne is a GK that is athletic and strong. He's the type that makes athletic saves and puts his body on the line by diving and jumping. He's a solid starting keeper for any club.

In my expert opinion, if you start in the Championship League or equal leagues around the world, then this is a great starting GK for you. He's only $1.5 million to start and goes to 74 within the first 4 seasons. This is a good Championship League backup, and if you loan him out for 2 or 3 years, he will be an amazing keeper in the Premier League when he’s done with his loans.

He's the player that’s the true meaning of Potential. He has lower-than-average starting stats, but within a few seasons, he’s one of the best keepers. He's tall, so not much gets around him.

In my expert opinion after playing the game with all of the GKs on this list, He's one of the best EFL League Two starters. He starts low, and within a few seasons, he’s already at 74 overall. You can pay his release clause from Reading, and it’s only $1.6 million to start your career.

8. Bart Verbruggen GK 18 6’4”

He’s an Athletic and Strong Goalkeeper to start. He has one of the strongest starting stats at GK. He's one of the better backup GKs or potential GKs

As I’ve played as all of these players, Bart is one of the ones that I didn’t ever acquire until I was promoted to the Championship League. He's a little over $2 million if you get him in the first year of your manager career. However, his best quality is his potential, he’ll be around 72 to start when you get from EFL League Two to the Championship League. He's worth picking up, but later on in your career.

Bart Verbruggen Strengths

  • Jumping - He starts with an overall of 65.
  • Strength - He starts with a 62 starting stat.
  • GK Diving - He has a 71 overall, just to start, and his other GK stats are also impressive.

7. Ruslan Neshcheret GK 19 6’3”

Ruslan is a GK with some good moves. He has reflexes, diving, and strength, he’s an overall great player. While his starting stats need some work, his potential is worth unlocking.

Playing Ruslan for quite a bit, I’ve learned a few things from playing as him. He goes up 10 overall in the first few seasons, he's only worth $1.8 million, and he’s available in almost any league. All of this combined is the reason why I would pick him to start my career most of the time.

Ruslan Neshcheret Strengths

  • Strength - He starts with a 64 stat.
  • GK Reflexes - He starts with 66 in this stat.
  • GK Diving - He starts with 65 in this stat.

6. Alejandro Iturbe GK 17 6’

Iturbe is a GK with a great upside. He has average stats to start, but that quickly changes with training and being a starter. He's also athletic and speedy for a GK.

With thousands of hours played, my expert opinion is that he's a great early game grab. He's available at EFL League Two to start, and you can buy him out of a release clause at $1.9 million. He's a fast-rising star and will be in the mid-70s by the time you get promoted to the Premier League.

Alejandro Iturbe Strengths

5. Dogan Alemdar GK 18 6’2”

Dogan is a GK that is above average in all GK categories to start. He's strong and positions himself well. He's quick with his reflexes and handling and is a good backup in the Championship League or higher.

In my expert opinion, I think that he’s a great player, but his availability at lower levels has him at 5 instead of higher up. If you get him in the Championship League or higher, he will need to be loaned out for a few seasons before he becomes a regular starter. However, he does go from 72 - 78 in a few seasons, so that’s a huge plus.

Dogan Alemdar Strengths

  • Strength - He starts with a stat of 65.
  • GK Reflexes - He starts with a stat of 69.
  • GK Diving - He starts with a stat of 66.

4. Gavin Bazunu GK 19 6’2”

Gavin is the player you want on your team as soon as possible. He has truckloads of potential and has great starting stats, he's not the best, but high stats for 19. He's good at putting his body in the way to defend the goal.

In my expert opinion, this is a good grab, but unfortunately, he's on loan to start your career but is available at any level after. His growth potential is great as he goes 69 - 78 in a few seasons. He’s worth $4 million in the first season, and a little pricier in the second season. However, overall, I would wait a season to pick him up, because he can change your game in a great way.

Gavin Bazunu Strengths

  • GK Reflexes - He starts with a 72 overall in this category.
  • GK Kicking - He starts with a 70 overall in this category.

  • Speed - 27
  • GK Positioning - 66
  • Overall - 69
  • Potential - 85+

3. Maarten Vandevoordt GK 19 6’3”

He has the second-best starting stats on this list, but I have 2 gems that beat him out(barely). He's athletic and strong. He's one of the better overall keepers and can be a game-changer for any club.

In my expert opinion, there are a couple of things that are the reason he's number 3 and not 2 or 1. He's only available in the Championship League or higher, and is $4 million to start, if you work your way from EFL League Two to Championship League, he’ll be 78 overall, and close to $12 million or more. He's one of the top 3 in potential and is worth getting if you want to start in the Championship League.

  • GK Reflexes - 73
  • Speed - 40
  • GK Positioning - 66
  • Overall - 70
  • Potential - 85+

2. Konstantinos Tzolakis GK 18 6’4”

Tzolakis is athletic and speedy. He's above average to start and has starting stats that make most of the other GKs on this list jealous. He's a great grab at any time.

In my expert opinion, I use him more than anyone else on this list, and it might be why he’s #2 and not #4 or 5. He develops over time and gets to 79 in an instant. He's available at almost any level including EFL League Two. He’s $2.6 million to buy outright, but worth the extra million to invest in.

Konstantinos Tzolakis Strengths

1. Giorgi Mamardashvili GK 19 6’2’

He's the best young GK in this category. His starting stats, potential, and playability eclipse the rest of the field. He's an all-around GK witheverything stacking in his stats in GK and on the field.

Honestly, my expert opinion is don’t pass on him. He's available at Championship League or higher, costs $15.5 million, and is worth every penny. He starts with a 77 in the first season, and after just a few seasons, he’s over 81 and going further than you can imagine. With 12 + good years in him, sign him young it’ll be the best move for your team.
